This template is pointless
I know all the other consoles have it, but there is no point in this template as the only difference between substituting and transcluding this template is that one has {} while the other has []. --SnorlaxMonster 02:46, 24 October 2010 (PDT)
- But then "Wii" article feels left out. SNES, N64 and 3DS get their own templates, sometimes more. [Tacopill|(talk)] 11:44, 24 October 2010 (PDT).
- Wii can have other templates, and it's not like it's a living creature and will be upset. This template doesn't need to be used, instead you can just type [[Wii]] which prevents the use of a template, means that we don't need an extra page for a template and it avoids template transclusion. --SnorlaxMonster 00:27, 25 October 2010 (PDT)
- What's wrong with template tranclusion? [Tacopill|(talk)] 08:43, 25 October 2010 (PDT).
- Well, eventually if you start putting templates in templates in templates, you might hit the template limit (like what happened over at Bulbapedia in some pages with lots of Trainers). Also, it is less confusing to newer users who are looking at new articles, and see that using curly braces links articles. --SnorlaxMonster 23:56, 26 October 2010 (PDT)
