Training Mode is a mode in the video game Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 64. It is used by the player to learn the basics of the game.
Location
Many fans speculate that this takes place in the Great Fox's training room. However because you can see what looks like Corneria in the backround, this could be argued against.
Characters
R.O.B. 64 appears in this stage, then a Trainer appears, without a voice and helps you out. This Trainer's name is unknown. He also appears in a congratulations screen when you complete Venom I.
In Star Fox
In Star Fox, which did not feature the Great Fox, training took place as live test flights on the surface of Corneria. These were supervised by General Pepper and involved all four Star Fox team members (Fox, Falco, Peppy, Slippy). A few maneuvers are discussed, and at times the other characters make comments about the test.
