Deletions

Whenever it comes to pages such as re-block or SpellStone Seal, should those just be deleted without going through proper channels? They seem like pretty useless pages to me. Also, I mentioned this on another page, does anyone think that pages such as Barrier Sphere should be moved to an Items in Star Fox: Assault type page? I don't think such items would get much info. --TW 07:22, 30 October 2010 (PDT)

No, deleting, or rather, merging, the pages are fine. Would you mind setting up proper redirects once the information is moved to a more "proper" page? [Tacopill|(talk)] 13:52, 30 October 2010 (PDT).
I'm thinking that SpellStone Seal could be featured on the eventual SpellStone page, but Re-Block is just a page on a completely trivial piece of technology. I'm not sure if it could even be featured on the Beltino Orbital Gate page. There's a similar comment on the Re-Block talk page.--TW 15:11, 30 October 2010 (PDT)
Yeap. I think that's fine. And Thanks for helping. [Tacopill|(talk)] 15:19, 30 October 2010 (PDT).
Okay then. I'd have helped sooner, but I've been busy since the last week. So delete both and make a note of SpellStone Seals on the eventual SpellStone page, right?--TW 15:25, 30 October 2010 (PDT)
It's not a problem. But please don't delete the page until all the useful content has been moved off, not before. [Tacopill|(talk)] 15:47, 30 October 2010 (PDT).

What's Left?

Does anyone know what's really left to move from Arwingpedia? Most of the pages I'm looking at seem a little weak. Take Vulcain for example. I know there's the most wanted pages, but that's mostly filled with templates.--TW 18:13, 22 December 2010 (PST)

Actually, i don't Know any more. I was driving myself nuts back in October, trying to grab every file and every version of every page i could. So, at some point, i broke it off, and stopped Importing. I have now just looked at their recent changes, and they have been getting busy these past few weeks. So, i honestly don't know what to do.
Keep in mind. No one can "close" a wikia, except Wikia itself. And the versions we have are either modified or 2 months old; so if i were to start importing agian, it would be a giant mess.
So, what i would say, is: no more pages or files are coming over. if what remains is not usable in anyway, shape or form, delete it.
Does this answer your questions? [Tacopill|(talk)] 18:51, 22 December 2010 (PST).
Also, is this Falco page is one of those pages? 18:49, 26 December 2010 (PST).

Mass Delete

Quick question, does anyone know if there is a mass delete feature? It might take a long time to delete these one by one. --TW 09:03, 30 January 2011 (PST)

Yep. I have just installed this tool to help out with just that. Does this mean we are now in stage 3 of the merger? [Tacopill|(talk)] 14:00, 30 January 2011 (PST).
Thanks. I'd say it's more like stage 2.5. We're thinning down the Arwingpedia pages, but still looking to see if there is a good page here or there. As opposed to stage three, which is just deleting everything. EDIT: I just tried it and it seems to be exclusive to bureaucrats.--TW 05:16, 6 February 2011 (PST)
Ok, i am at a crossroads. Before you are able to do so, there is something i would like to ask you in private. Please email me when you get a chance. [Tacopill|(talk)] 16:44, 6 February 2011 (PST).
Would you mind telling how to delete multiple pages. The page doesn't quite explain that. I tried inserting the | sign, but it only deletes the last page.--TW 13:28, 13 February 2011 (PST)
Sure. What you need to do, is make a list of pages you want to delete and then separate the page entries by new lines (enters, returns, etc.). For example, i just deleted the following pages.
File:FoxSF2.gif|reason goes here
Forum:Index|reason 2
Forum:Fan art and fan music|unneeded
Forum:Starfox marathon|unwanted
Forum:Welcome to the help desk|mindless batter
Forum:Which of the Command endings do you think will be in the next SF game?
ArwingpediaBattle Map/Archive 1
User:Wikia
The vertical bar (|) only adds a reason to it's deletion; it is optional, but handy. [Tacopill|(talk)] 13:56, 13 February 2011 (PST).

Stage 3

So, what else do we need to do to move to stage 3? or, are we there already, iand i just didn't know about it. [Tacopill|(talk)] 14:45, 13 February 2011 (PST).

I think were at stage 3, as the Deletion thing is deleting all the Arwingpedia pages. Foxdude54 17:22, 13 February 2011 (PST)
I'll officially change it to stage 3, then.--TW 06:28, 27 February 2011 (PST)
Sounds good. I will change the site notice to reflect it as well. [Tacopill|(talk)] 15:10, 28 February 2011 (PST).
All Arwingpedia pages and talk pages are gone. I guess that means that we're on stage four.--TW 15:44, 2 May 2011 (PDT)
Sounds good. Thank you for all your work. [Tacopill|(talk)] 16:39, 11 May 2011 (PDT).

Stage 4

Just to be clear, what articles are being reviewed? All of them? Foxdude54 12:05, 11 May 2011 (PDT)

Pretty much. This means we may need to do some recruiting to help in that task. [Tacopill|(talk)] 16:39, 11 May 2011 (PDT).

End the Merger

Considering our current level of activity, the fact that we no longer have any Arwingpieda: or Arwingpedia_talk pages to work on, and a few other reasons, i am recommended we officially declare the Merger over and done with. The remaining portion of Stage 4 (reviewing the articles) can still happen; it just doesn't have to happen as part of the merger. Not to mention, we will finally be able to list ourselves as "done" on things like bulbapedia. [Tacopill|(talk)] 14:37, 19 May 2011 (PDT).

Additional Comments

  1. Thank you everyone who helped put took part in the merger. It took long, but it went well. And, as far as i can tell, we grew a lot (content-wise) because of it! And we gained some new friends because of it. [Tacopill|(talk)] 14:37, 19 May 2011 (PDT).
  2. I would just like to be updated on what the Stub-Level team must review, and when. Foxdude54 15:10, 19 May 2011 (PDT)
    • At the current moment, All "Start-level Articles" are available here. You may start reviewing them at any time. [Tacopill|(talk)] 07:39, 21 May 2011 (PDT).
      • Isn't there some way to create a new page for the members of the teams to review it? Foxdude54 07:19, 22 May 2011 (PDT)
  3. This site has a great future, now that it's done. I can tell. --AnyGuy 12:50, 20 May 2011 (PDT)
    • Woo! that sounds good! And thank you very much, for joining us in it. [Tacopill|(talk)] 07:39, 21 May 2011 (PDT).

A final note: Before declaring the merger over, i want to make sure something is understood: After the declaration is done, we are going back to the stance we had before hand on stealing or taking from other wiki's; that being: We highly discourage it. :). [Tacopill|(talk)] 10:05, 22 May 2011 (PDT).

    • Understood. --AnyGuy 17:01, 22 May 2011 (PDT)

Sounds good.

It's over! - [Tacopill|(talk)] 13:37, 26 May 2011 (PDT).
