Head View is a technique that can be used in Star Fox Adventures. According to an EarthWalker in Krazoa Palace, it is used is to safely look around before entering an area. It can be activated by pressing the Z-button. Head View is quite useless for this purpose before the purchase of Hi-Def Display Device, which enables zooming into far away things and objects. Head View can also be used to easily make Fox face the exact direction wanted. This is useful when crossing narrow, curvy bridges, that require high precision, like the ones in Ocean Force Point Temple.
