It was most likely that Andross destroyed the planet so he could feed off its magical energy in an attempt to revive himself.

Officially speaking, Cerinia is virtually a complete mystery, as nothing is known about the planet's enviroment, history, its overall natives and respective cultures, as well as its true fate. In fact, in ''Star Fox Adventures'', Cerinia was hinted only once at the beginning of the game, and was never mentioned again. This is cause for making Cerinia one of the biggest potholes in the Star Fox series! It is also currently unknown whether Krystal herself is still interested in investigating the fate of her home planet, and/or whether Nintendo are interested in breaking the mystery that is Cerinia.

Cerinia was a planet in a system far away from Lylat System, and was home to the vixen Krystal. Krystal's Star Fox Adventures outfit and staff may hint that she or her family were of high status on Cerinia by show of symbols, tattos, a mystic gold-jeweled staff, and gold-white clothing, as these are commonly used to show royalty or nobility.

Cerinia was, reportedly, completely destroyed in Star Fox Adventures, and its population murdered. The only known survivor of this catastrophe is Krystal, who originally came to Lylat, and later Sauria, searching for answers to the destruction of her homeworld and deaths of her parents.

It has been speculated that Andross destroyed the planet so he could feed off its magical energy in an attempt to revive himself.Template:Fact
