What would "3DS" stand for?

Well, I know what "DS" stands for. "DS" stands for "dual screen" because of the top and bottom screens. But what would "3DS" stand for if "DS" stands for "dual screen"? SlippyToadGirl64 18:37, 25 October 2011 (PDT)

As far as I know, it doesn't stand for anything specific. Personally, I think they combined the "3D" with the "DS" forming "3DDS" and then removed the redundent "D". [Tacopill|(talk)] 11:53, 26 October 2011 (PDT).
