The Venomian army was mostly comprised of bipedal lizards seemingly under the influence of Emperor Andross Oikonny. During both gameplay, and reading the comics, it is learned that after Andross was banished to Venom for his crimes against Corneria, he soon found the planet was indeed populated by a civilization of lizards who were not very well educated in modern technology. But, the planet was rich in ancient technology, and scribes to extremely powerful weapons, which Andross used to build his army. While in his exile, Adross also created the telekinetic amplifier, which he used to enslave majority of the lizard race on [[Venom]]. Only a majority of the lizards joined him voluntarily, vowing undying loyalty to him. They were known as the Imperial Guard.

In Star Fox 64 (a remake of Star Fox, making Star Fox for the SNES non-canon), the Venomian army is again reeking havoc on Corneria.

During his time on Venom, he managed to amass a very large army, also creating planetary defenses, such as the Bolse Defense satellite, and Area-6.

He also built many factories, and armory plants to build his army which would eventually be his tool for revenge. Once his army was assembled, armed, and his fleets were loaded, he set a course for Corneria, and the other planets, using the blitzkrieg tactic.

The first one being on planet Corneria, when you confront the attack carrier, the pilot looks much like a type of lizard only somewhat comparable to a green iguana.

Another example, was in Area-6,just during the intro to the level. A small group of fighters were attacked by the Starfox team while they approached the area, taking out one of the enemy ships. When the first one was shot down, the commander of the squad shouted, "Do you copy!? Emergency maneuvers." If the player looked closely at the profile of Caiman, they would see he looked somewhat like a South American caiman.

Another although very respectable member of the army was [[Leon Powalski]].He appeared with the other members of StarWolf to deal with [[Fox McCloud ]]and his friends during the battle of [[Fichina]], [[Bolse]], and the final showdown on [[Venom]] itself. Though Leon is not technically considered a part of the Venomian army, merely having him fighting with them gives rise to many speculations of their still being lizards fighting for Andross.

The Commanding officer that looked like a reptile was the commander of the Gorgan defense satellite above Venom in Area-6. When he begins to issue orders to his men in the area, players will notice he looks more like a alligator, then anything else.

It is still unknown whether or not Andross employed lizards and apes into his forces during the Lylat wars.

During the opening credits to the first level, many Venomian and Cornerian vessels are seen exchanging cannon fire at one another. Venom had produced an unknown type of new star ship capable of taking on a Cornerian Assault Frigate, which was a relatively well rounded ship. Although, it couldn't withstand a full scale bombardment from the many enemy vessels. This was made known when the Cornerian Assault forces charged at them, firing volley after volley of light laser rounds.

In Star Fox Assault, the majority of the Venomian army is seen as apes only. This fact is also supported by the fact that within Wolf's Sargasso Hideout, boxes clearly showing Andross's insignia could be found throughout the level. Another way this fact is supported, is that Adross's nephew, Andrew is seen as the new Emperor of the Venomian empire.

During the years following the conclusion of the [[Aparoid]] Blitz, the Venom army began to rebuild itself. Only this time, the army only consisted of bipedal amphibious creatures known as the Anglers. The Venom army itself was reformed to only include these strange creatures, replacing the need for any other type of species. But, soon after the angler war ended, [[Dash Bowman]], grandson of Andross, rebuilt the Venomain empire, once again enlisting the aid of ape soldiers. It is unknown what has become of Lylat since Dash rebuilt the empire.
