The Meteo Crusher (also known as Rock Crusher) is a utility ship designed to, as its name's sake, crush asteroids and planets in the Asteroid Field into dust and extract the raw ore and minerals found within them. These materials would then be transported back to Venomian bases to be refined and later used to construct weapons and starfighters.

In the first Star Fox game, two Rock Crushers are sent to clear asteroid fields near Corneria for Venom's forces to build bases, as well as allow the Space Armada to attack Corneria. In Arwingpedia:Sector X, one of the two Crushers has already destroyed many asteroids (explaining why there are asteroids only at the end of the level.).
