General Pepper, left with few places to go, contacted a new Star Fox team, led by James' son Fox, to fight against Andross in a last ditch attempt to hold of the forces of Venom. They were indeed the last hope to save the Lylat system from utter destruction, and were given the [[Arwing]]s, the most advanced ships of the time that had taken most of the Army's remaining resources to build. After being given the advanced fighters, the Star Fox team was dispatched immediately on their first mission to save a city on Corneria.
