'''General Pepper''' is a general in the [[Cornerian Defense Force]] and the employer of [[Star Fox (team)|Star Fox]] in many of the games. He was a good friend of [[James McCloud]] and [[Peppy Hare]] when they were part of the Cornerian Army. He later chose Peppy as his successor some time before ''[[Star Fox Command]]''.

His appearance is based on that of a bloodhound. In all of his appearances, he wears the same army uniform that is befitted the general of the Cornerian Army. A similar uniform was later passed on to Peppy at his promotion.

Eight years after the Lylat Wars, General Pepper contacted the Star Fox team about an incident on the planet [[Sauria]]. He told the team about the incident and sent Fox to the planet. Pepper told Fox he could not use his blaster to prevent any more damage to the planet's integral balance. Pepper helped Fox keep track of his progress during his adventure on the planet. He also helped Fox make it to the pieces of the planet that had broken off through communications. After Fox returned to his ship, Pepper contacted the team and sent them their payment. He noted his surprise that Andross was still alive and told Fox that the [[King EarthWalker|King]] and [[Queen EarthWalker]] about their thanks.
