The U-Turn is a technique that can be performed by Arwings in most Star Fox games. It first appears in Star Fox 64. During a U-Turn, which can only be performed during All-Range Mode, an Arwing does a half loop and then a 180° roll. Whenever an Arwing touches the boundaries of an area, it automatically performs a U-Turn to return back into the area. The proper term for this maneuver is an Immelmann turn.
Controls
