Wolf is taller than most other characters and has very muscular build, giving him a physical advantage over many. He has mostly gray fur on his body, though his chest and facial hair is white. Wolf's razor sharp claws have received comments from Leon.
Some of Wolf's other attributes have changed throughout the series. In Star Fox 64 he had a voice reminiscent of that of a British aristocrat, this was changed in Star Fox: Assault where he was given a gruffer voice. His eyepatch worn in Star Fox 64 was replaced by a cybernetic eye in Star Fox: Assault and Star Fox: Command.
