'''Invader I Fighters''' were a class of star fighters used by the [[Venomian Army]] during the [[Lylat Wars]].  They were first encountered by the [[Star Fox Team]] during their recapture of the Cornerian base on [[Fichina]] (misspelled as Fortuna).  Armed with a single laser cannon, these slow, ungainly fighters were no match against Star Fox's [[Arwing]] fighters, even when outnumbering their enemy several times over.  Improvements were made to the design with the [[Invader II Fighters]] and [[Invader III Fighters]].
