:It would make the Main Page look nicer, and showcase the best images on the wiki, hopefully encouraging people to contribute. Personally, I feel that one desired effect would be that no matter how good the image shown is, there'll be someone visiting who'll think, 'Hey, I've got a better image of (for example) Fox than that', and they will start uploading images and adding them to pages, in the hope that one of them will someday greet users on the Main Page. Main Page Layout
So the main page layout is going to change (because we need to have stuff about the wiki and not just words :P) but I SUUUUCK at organizing. Here's what I was thinking:
- Featured article
- Featured picture
- News
Not sure what else, but those are a few to start. Anyone have any ideas?Neo 00:36, 7 August 2010 (PDT)
- How about a 'did you know' section? Random pointless facts about the Star Fox series, such as how we across the pond got Starwing instead of Star Fox. Although there's one of those sections everywhere, and you might want something unique. Moydow 10:55, 7 August 2010 (PDT)
