The rumble pack was an add-on accessory for the Nintendo 64 console. It plugged into the expansion slot on the N64 controller and when activated, caused the controller to vibrate. It was deigned and produced by Nintendo, and was first released as a box-in with the game Star Fox 64. It was powered by two AA batteries.
Use in SF64
The rumble pack was used to simulate crashes with solid objects, such as crashing into an enemy ship or a rock formation, etc. It helped popularize Star Fox 64.
