The Grenade is an explosive default weapon available in Star Fox Assault. In one of the game's posters, they are seen being juggled by Slippy Toad, showing his playful nature or liking of explosives. The grenades also match Slippy's yellow attire he wears in Assault.
Usage
The grenade does not work like other weapons. After being thrown it explodes after a short period of time. The longer they are held with the R or A button, the further they are tossed.
Strategy
Toss grenades from afar and/or high up so the grenades explode on time without lag. In the story mode you can throw them at walls from an angle to hit camping Aparoids around corners. This is especially useful if you need to conserve health. In VS Mode of Assault, a useful but risky tactic would be to activate both a Barrier Sphere then a Grenade until it explodes next to an enemy.
