R.O.B. 64 appears in this stage, then a Trainer appears, without a voice and helps you out. This Trainer's name is unknown. He also appears in a congratulations screen when you complete Venom I.
In Star Fox 64, Training Mode can be selected from the main menu. From there, the player is taken to a level with a flat layout consisting of multiple grey structures and obstacles. R.O.B. 64 will introduce the player to the stage, shortly before the trainer, also known as Yaru de Pon, takes over, who will then instruct about various items and how to perform basic maneuvers, such as charging the laser and using Smart Bombs. Afterwards, the stage will switch to All-Range Mode, where players can practice against enemies until they choose to quit.
