'''Shigeru Miyamoto''' is a Japanese video game designer and producer. He is best known for his creations at [[Nintendo]], such as the [[mariowiki:Mario (series)|''Mario'']], [[zeldawiki:The Legend of Zelda (series)|''Zelda'']], and [[Star Fox (series)|''Star Fox'']] series. He was born and raised in the Kyōto prefecture of Japan, and his experiences there during childhood inspired much of his work, especially the open and non-linear land of [[zeldawiki:Hyrule|Hyrule]] in ''[[zeldawiki:The Legend of Zelda (game)|The Legend of Zelda]]''. He is currently General Manager of Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development, which is in charge of the majority of Nintendo's major titles. He has been involved in the development of the majority of the Star Fox games released to date, mainly in [[Star Fox (game)|the original]] and its [[Star Fox 64|Nintendo 64 remake]].
