The Portal Opener is one of the Staff Upgrades in Star Fox Adventures. Fox obtains this upgrade after rescuing the Mother ThornTail's eggs from EggSnatchers. The move allows him to open large, square-shaped barriers by inserting the staff into a hole within the portal.
