The ''Pleiades'', also called the '''Lylat Cruiser''', is a special ship that has not appeared in any Star Fox Game, but in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a stage. It can cruise through the entire [[Lylat System]]; famous parts being [[Corneria]], [[Meteo]] and the [[Sargasso Region]]. It's name comes from the actual [[Wikipedia:Pleiades|Pleiades]], a cluster of stars.
 
The Pleiades Class Heavy Cruiser is the spear head of the Cornerian Navy and Defence Force. These large cruisers are heavily armed and armoured. Often used as flag ships in the mass majority of cornerian naval battle groups and taskforces in conjunction with [[assault carriers]] and ecort frigates. The Pleiades is a fairly new warship resulting from the need of a ship that can rival a Venomian cruiser such as a [[Zeram-class Cruiser|Zeram]], with production predating the Lylat War by only a matter of months. Since then it has become the heart of the Cornerian Starfleet. It carries 20 anti-ship laser batteries and 30 anti-starfighter laser cannons. Its compliment consists of 4 starfighter squadrons, 6 dropships or gunships, and up to a single battalion of infantry or marines.
