Sidekick Commands are commands that Tricky learns and uses in Star Fox Adventures. In order to use one, Tricky first has to learn it and only then Fox McCloud can assign him the commands. It is good to note that Tricky will not take commands from Fox if he is hungry, i.e. his Tricky Energy meter is empty. Fox must feed him with Blue GrubTub Fungi before he agrees to cooperate again.

Sidekick Commands are a series of five different orders that Fox McCloud assigns to Tricky in Star Fox Adventures. They include: Find, Flame, Call, Stay, and Tricky's Ball.

There are four different commands: Find, Flame, Call, and Stay Command.
To use a Sidekick Command, Tricky must have learned it first. Fox can order him to perform one from the blue menu of the C-Stick Inventory. The Flame and Find Commands are only usable in certain instances. The Sidekick Commands cannot be used if the Tricky Energy meter is empty, meaning that Fox should feed Blue GrubTub Fungi to get Tricky to cooperate. However, the meter only depletes from using the Find or Flame Commands.

Each command has its own purpose, such as attacking enemies, digging in round dirt patches, and turning on campfires. Tricky will usually tell Fox when to use them by a question mark atop his head. Only Flame and Find commands deplete the Tricky Energy meter. Like most other things in the C Stick Inventory, all four commands can be assigned to the Y Button.
The player can assign any of the Sidekick Commands to the Y button from the C-Stick Inventory.
