Kawamoto along with [[Yoshie Arakawa]] composed the music for ''[[Star Fox: Assault]]'' as well as created its sound effects. He also supervised the use of this music for ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' (where it remained unchanged from the original), implying that he was the one who composed "Space Battleground" and arranged "Star Wolf" and "Break Through the Ice."

In addition to ''Assault'', Yoshinori Kawamoto has been involved with the music of a variety of Namco series, including ''Splatterhouse'', ''Klonoa'', and a couple of ''Pac-Man'' titles. Kawamoto worked again with Yoshie Arakawa on the music for ''Flash Focus: Vision Training in Minutes a Day''.
