:if the user only created one page with advertising, talking on their user page is fine. Heyo! I went ahead and checked through [[Special:Listusers]] to search for all the recent spam users who weren't blocked yet--and I have blocked them to prevent future spamming by their IPs. | |||
That said, I also disabled them from sending email - do you think that would be an appropriate option when blocking spammers? I know most wikis usually leave the 'email' enabled so users can contact the admins about their blocks--but I figured spammers would just abuse it (i.e. continue their disruptive activity via email).
