On Nintendo UK's Twitter page, in commemoration of the release, [https://twitter.com/NintendoUK/statuses/473758537349607425 they announced] that anyone who owns or purchases the Premium Version of ''Steel Diver: Sub Wars'' prior to June 19, 2014 will receive the new downloadable submarine - [[Star Fox (team)|Star Fox]]'s own [[Blue Marine]] - for free! This also confirms the Blue Marine as an part of the roster of DLC submarines for ''Steel Diver: Sub Wars''.  This is the second Star Fox reference made for the title after [[Peppy Hare]]'s cameo appearance.
