The game launches in North America and Europe on October 24, 2014. In other news, Nintendo confirms its first wave of 12 [[wikipedia:Amiibo|amiibo]] figurines will include Smash fighter [[smashwiki:Fox (SSB4)|Fox McCloud]], and although they did not confirm a release date, the figurines are now available for pre-order at various physical and online retailers. * March 15, 2013 - In [http://nintychronicle.wordpress.com/2013/03/12/nc-interview-with-two-tribes-gaming/ an interview with Nintendo Chronicle], Collin van Ginkel, co-founder of indie studio [http://twotribes.com/ Two Tribes], notable for its ''Toki Tori'' series, has claimed that they "could make a damn fine Star Fox game for Wii U. Yes, a classic Star Fox game would be awesome to work on." Two Tribes marks as the third developer, after [http://retrostudios.com/ Retro Studios] and [http://platinumgames.com/ Platinum Games], that is willingly volunteering to develop a new game based on the Star Fox IP license. It still a wonder why Nintendo, owner and publisher of said license, has not taken up any of the developers' offers as of yet.
