* December 16, 2013 - Nintendo has rolled out a special community for fans of 64 3D. This can be accessed on your Wii U, 3DS, or computer, but a Nintendo Network account is required to sign in (which, at this time, can only be created on a 3DS or Wii U). It's great to see that Nintendo is still showing some love for this good old franchise!

* March 15, 2013 - In an interview with Nintendo Chronicle, Collin van Ginkel, co-founder of indie studio Two Tribes, notable for its Toki Tori series, has claimed that they "could make a damn fine Star Fox game for Wii U. Yes, a classic Star Fox game would be awesome to work on." Two Tribes marks as the third developer, after Retro Studios and Platinum Games, that is willingly volunteering to develop a new game based on the Star Fox IP license. It still a wonder why Nintendo, owner and publisher of said license, has not taken up any of the developers' offers as of yet.

* December 26, 2012 - Rising, UK-based Nintendo gaming media outlet Nintendo Life recently conducted an exclusive interview with Phil Tossell, a former Rare employee known to be the lead software engineer for Star Fox Adventures. Whilst the interview is not a break-through premise about how a game like Star Fox Adventures ended up with so many holes in it, Tossell shared a lot of his own perspectives and memories surrounding the game's internal development period, from beginning to launch. Here's a direct link to that article in question if interested. By the way, it was recently revealed that one of the attractions in the Wii U launch game Nintendo Land - "Metroid Blast" to be precise - was originally themed after the Star Fox series during development before it was later dropped in favor of the Metroid series because it "works well" with the latter. Consider it fortunate that Namco Bandai were more considerate when they included a Fox McCloud-based costume as a bonus for their fighters in their own launch title Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition. Before I also forget, in case you are not already aware, Star Fox 64 3D has since been re-released as a Nintendo eShop downloadable, digital game since November 2012 in all regions.
