* <b>August 24, 2011</b> - The annual [http://prime.paxsite.com/ Penny Arcade Expo] (PAX) is returning to Seattle again this week, and Nintendo will be attending. Nintendo will be displaying a number of their most anticipated upcoming titles, including ''[[Star Fox 64 3D]]'', which is not surprising since the game was featured during the Comic-Con event last month. However, in case you are attending PAX, just know that on August 27 there will be a ''Star Fox 64 3D'' tournament between 7pm and 10pm, and Nintendo will be having daily giveaways too. So, if you are attending PAX at that date, have fun! In unrelated news, there had been rumors that Nintendo might announce a revamped Nintendo 3DS design that is to be released in 2012. Gaming rumors tend to turn out true, but keep in mind it is always a good idea never to take any rumor seriously until the information had been officially confirmed. | |||

First off, ''[[Star Fox 64 3D]]'' is enjoying a promising success in Japan, as the game sold over 32,000 copies in the first week alone, which made it the number one Nintendo 3DS game, and the sixth best game overall in the Japanese charts last week. Part of the success could possibly attribute to the new Flare Red Nintendo 3DS color release. In other news, Nintendo of America finally launches [http://starfox643d.nintendo.com/ their own official website] today, and although it uses a subsite URL, the page actually makes use of the StarFox.com domain, albeit as a mere redirect. Also, with the launch of the website comes even better news for the U.S. fans to rejoice, as NOA actually decided to bump up the release date from Sunday to Friday, which means the new official North American release date is now September 9, 2011 - the same day as the European release date! This is likely done in part to avoid the game clashing with the 10th Memorial of the [[wikipedia:September 11 attacks|September 11 terrorist attacks]]. | |||
