[[File:Falco Assault Intro.png|left|thumb|Falco during the opening of ''Star Fox: Assault''.]]A year after the events of ''Star Fox Adventures'', Falco and his teammates came to [[Fortuna]] by request of the [[Cornerian Defense Force]] to deal with a rebellion led by [[Andrew Oikonny]]. Falco was the first to realize that their job was to stop the rebellion by silencing Oikonny for good.<ref>"We're here because we gotta put this creep on ice." — Fox and Falco, ''Star Fox: Assault''</ref> Falco followed his teammates to the Arwings and followed Oikonny to the surface of Fortuna. Once they caught up with Oikonny, Falco taunted him for trying to emulate Andross. Upon Oikonny's defeat, Falco watched as an [[Aparoid]] destroyed Oikonny's ship. Falco helped Fox fight the Aparoid and returned to the Great Fox after it was destroyed. There, he listened as [[Beltino Toad]] and [[General Pepper]] explained the Aparoid menace. Falco and the team were then sent by General Pepper to investigate a distress signal from [[Katina]]. Falco stayed in the air as Fox used his [[Landmaster]] tank to take out the Aparoids from the ground. When Fox was attacked by an enormous Aparoid walker, Falco was unable to help in the battle and Fox destroyed the creature alone. Without warning, [[Pigma Dengar]] escaped the base and stole the Core Memory from the Aparoid. The Star Fox team returned to the Great Fox and pursued Pigma. The team pursued Pigma to the [[Sargasso Space Hideout]] where they lost track of him. One of the ruffians hacked into their communication's channel and Falco demanded his identity. Fox told Falco and Krystal to handle the space front while he and Slippy took out the enemy teleporters in the base. Once Fox destroyed the teleporters, Star Wolf appeared. Falco fought against Leon once more until Fox defeated Leon. After the battle, Falco argued a bit with Star Wolf's newest member, [[Panther Caroso]]. Panther soon told the team where to find Pigma and the two teams left the base.

Upon their arrival at Fichina, Falco complained that the planet was nothing but snow and ice, to which Fox responded by saying that the planet had a climate control device. Peppy revealed that the device was done and Fox went down to fix it. Falco complained about Fox always wanting to be a hero, but conceded due to his dislike of ice. When Fox was attacked by Aparoid-infected sentry bots Falco flew down to save him. Falco then told Fox to ride on his wing while Peppy sent down an Arwing. Pigma then appeared and Falco chased after him.[[File:Falco Peppy Death Assault.png|right|thumb|Falco distressed at Peppy's sacrifice.]] Unfortunately, Falco had to stop when an Aparoid infected the climate control device. Falco landed as the Arwing arrived and Fox got off. He then proceded to help Fox fight the Aparoid and the creature was defeated without damaging the device. The team followed Pigma to the [[Meteo Asteroid Belt]]. On the way, Falco taunted Pigma about trying to hide in an asteroid belt and Fox asked why<ref>"So, this is like an amusement park to a former gang member?"<br>"You know it!" — Fox and Falco, ''Star Fox: Assault''</ref> Falco followed his team to the base Pigma had built in the Asteroid Belt. Falco was there when the team encountered Pigma's absorption into a giant Aparoid. The combined efforts of the team destroyed the robot and helped them claim the Core Memory. Upon their return to the Great Fox, the team sent the Core Memory to Beltino. There, Krystal was sent a telepathic message from [[Sauria]]. Fox delayed the attack on the [[Aparoid Homeworld]] to return to Sauria. Falco once again stayed in his Arwing and fought in the air. When Fox and Krystal began flirting before the mission, Falco took up the job of breaking them up and headed out. Falco and Slippy kept the skies clear as Fox and Krystal cleared the ground of hatchers and left when their job was finished.

When Fox and Krystal returned to the Great Fox, they recieved a distress signal from General Pepper saying that Corneria City and the defense force had been decimated. They soon lost contact with Pepper and Fox went down to Corneria to destroy a series of radar jammers. Falco once again complained about Fox going alone<ref>"What?!? Going solo again?" — Falco, ''Star Fox: Assault''</ref> Fox explained that he couldn't risk all of them dying and Falco gave in. While the team was fighting, Falco came to the realization that the enemies they were fighting were probably Aparoid-infected Cornerians. Falco was just as surprised as anyone else when Fox was saved by Wolf and his team. Unfortunately, he was unable to do anything while Fox dealt with General Pepper, infected by the Aparoids. The team flew to the space around Corneria where the [[Beltino Orbital Gate]] was located. Beltino revealed that they had found the Aparoid Homeworld and the Aparoids' weakness to [[wikipedia:apoptosis|apoptosis]]. The gate was then attacked by a series of missiles. The Star Fox and Star Wolf teams managed to destroy the missiles and headed to the Aparoid Homeworld. Falco was there when the team first found the homeworld. For the third time, he stayed in the air while Fox destroyed the Aparoid hatchers on the ground. With the hatchers destroyed, the team tried to enter the [[Aparoid Queen|Aparoid Queen's]] lair, but a new energy shield blocked their way. Peppy, flying critically damaged Great Fox, was forced to pilot the ship into the shield and destroy it. Falco tried to talk him out of it, but failed and the Great Fox crashed into the homeworld. The team then flew into the depths of the planet. There, they were followed by Star Wolf. Falco and Leon argued often while the teams flew through the caverns, but Star Wolf was forced to break off before the battle with the queen. During the battle with the queen, she imitated the voices of several characters, including Fox's father, [[James]]. Falco reminded Fox of his father's death and Fox snapped back at him. The team then fought the queens and fired the self-destruct program into her body. The queen fought off the program and began to escape. The team followed the queen and destroyed her, executing the program. With all Aparoids dying, the team escaped the planet fled to space. Upon their success, Falco rejoiced in the team's victory, especially once they found that Peppy had survived the Great Fox's destruction. It didn't take long for Falco to realize Fox knew about this from the beginning.<ref>"Fox, uh, tell me it ain't so, buddy... You knew about this?" — Falco, ''Star Fox: Assault''</ref> Falco proceeded to ask Fox what would happen next and the team set off on a new journey.

After meeting up with ROB on Katina, Falco assisted Cornerian pilot [[Bill Grey]] in clearing the area of Anglarian forces. The two easily finished off any Anglar and soon split up. Upon returning, Falco basked in his victory as ROB tried to explain that Krystal was a member of Star Wolf. ROB showed Falco a Star Wolf conversation he had intercepted that showed a new, colder Krystal. Falco wondered whether it really was Krystal<ref>"Yeah, it sure did. I wonder if it WAS her. She seems so... cold!" — Falco, ''Star Fox Command''</ref> and followed them to the Asteroid Belt. There, ROB and Falco missed Star Wolf, but encountered a group of Anglar and Falco's old friend, Katt Monroe. The two defeated the Anglar forces quickly, but Falco upset Katt, causing her to leave.
