Fox

Fox McCloud, the protagonist of the Star Fox series, returns from Super Smash Bros. with an updated move set:

  • Special Move: Fox's special move is his Blaster. This attack is known for being able to cover the whole distance of the stage, fires at a extremely fast rate, and is great for racking up damage.
  • Side Special: Fox's side special is Fox Illusion. This move makes Fox move in a single direction at a blinding speed, and is good for being a surprise attack against opponents.
  • Up Special: Fox's up special is Fire Fox. This move is used as his recovery, but can also be used as an attack. His recovery can also be countered with precise timing, but Fox can use this move again if he is hit with an attack.
  • Down Special: Fox's down special is his Reflector. This move is great for reflecting projectiles aimed at Fox, but can shatter if too many items are reflected. This move is also great to use against opponents that are near Fox.

Falco

Falco Lombardi, the ace pilot of Star Fox, is introduced, and shares a similar move set with Fox

  • Special Move: Falco's special move is his Blaster. This move is different from Fox's in a few ways, as it fires at a slower rate, and stuns any opponent that comes in contact with it.
  • Side Special: Falco's side special move is Falco Phantasm. This move is similar to Fox's, but travels a much shorter distance than his. However, this move is performed faster than Fox's.
  • Up Special: Falco's up special is Fire Bird. This move is incredibly similar to Fox's, with only minor differences. One such is that Falco covers a much smaller distance than Fox, and the opponents can be hit while the move is being charged, unlike Fox whose only hits once the he begins to move.
  • Down Special: Falco's down special is his Reflector. The move is identical to Fox's in many ways, but sends opponents upwards, unlike Fox.

Stages

Two new stages from the Star Fox series are added:
