Summary

An evil robot force called the Forgotten Legion is invading the Atlas star system. Several heroes answered the call for help, including Fox McCloud and the Star Fox team. The team came to the Atlas star system in pursuit of Wolf O'Donnell and the rest of Star Wolf. Star Fox soon meets up with the Starlink initiative and joins them to help complete both of their missions.[1]

Starlink: Battle for Atlas revolves around ship building. While exploring, the player will come across ship parts they can attach to their main ship or build a new ship with. The parts will boost various aspects of a ship depending on what it is and where it is placed, including offense, defense, and agility. Each ship comes equipped with lasers to use for combat, which can also be upgraded, and each pilot has a ship of their own. Fox McCloud's main ship is the Arwing, built for efficiency and durability.

There are also game packs that come with physical ships and ship parts that can be scanned into the game. Ship parts can be swapped out at any time, allowing players to change strategies mid-battle. The pack released for the Nintendo Switch comes with various Star Fox accessories. The Nintendo Switch Exclusive Starter Pack includes[1]:

  • Starlink: Battle for Atlas
  • Joycon Mount
  • Arwing Starship
  • Fox McCloud
  • Mason Rana
  • Flamethrower Weapon
  • Frost Barrage Weapon
  • Digital Zenith Starship
  • Digital Shredder Weapon
