FireFlies, also spelled Fire Flies,[1] are a collectible item in Star Fox Adventures. They can be used to light dark places where Fox McCloud can't normally see a thing. They can only be collected with a FireFly Lantern, which they are stored in. They look like green shining light orbs, which float up and down while following Fox after he uses one. They often appear within caves, but can also be bought in ThornTail Store, even if Fox does not have the FireFly Lantern. Fox can carry a maximum of 31 at a time.
