Eladard is a planet in the Lylat System. Its surface is littered with many factories, all once used by the forces of Venom lead by Andross during his second attack on Lylat. As a result, its atmosphere is horribly polluted and little can live there.

Eladard has never appeared in any released Star Fox game. Its only appearance was in the unreleased Star Fox 2. It has been speculated that it turned out to be Zoness.

The LightFoot tribe is a secretive and reclusive tribe of dinosaurs who live live in a large open water swamp between Hollow and Cape Claw. The LightFoots seldom interacted with other tribes, preferring to keep to themselves. They've built a large stone fort and gate with an intricate lock around their portion of the swamp to keep themselves separated from the rest of the world. However they do not appreciate crimes against them if and when they did venture out into the outside world; perpetrators of such crimes are captured and taken to the vast sacrificial mound in the center of the Village where they would be tortured to death by being stabbed repeatedly by a circle of guards with spears.

Appearance
The LightFoot tribe appear visually nonthreatening, being a smallish bipedal dinosaur. Their limbs are thin and wiry, and they look more built for flight rather than for combat. Only their angular aggressive heads give them a frightening image. They had a mottled light tan skin as well.

Personality and Nature
The LightFoots are naturally suspicious of the other dinosaur tribes, including their technical rulers, the EarthWalkers. This suspicion turned them into a war capable tribe, who were prepared to fight any who attacked them. Though this tendency did not extend to the SharpClaw tribe who they tended to run from.

They are also seen to be more savage than other tribes, as most carry spears and are even willing to use their own young as bait. They also can get abusive towards others and some of the larger LightFoots punch their own tribe members as a show of strength. LightFoots are ruled by a chief and have strict laws which they also enforce onto others not from their own tribe, such as taking tests just to be accepted and also severe punishment for crimes such as stealing.

Biography
During the attack on Sauria, the planet was falling apart piece by piece. But the LightFoots seemed mostly unaware of this fact; going about their business as normal.

One of the LightFoots traveled to Cape Claw where he either found or stole a Fire Gem. He was soon accosted however, by a group of SharpClaw, who accused him of stealing their treasure. He was rescued however by Fox McCloud who fought off the SharpClaws and saved him. Despite this, the LightFoot accused Fox of being a SharpClaw ally.
Fox was taken aback, pointing out that he had saved him, but the LightFoot claimed that he trusted no one and that the SharpClaws where "stinking liars". However at that moment, a cannon fired at the two, and the LightFoot tossed the Fire Gem at Fox and ran away. However he told the Chief LightFoot that Fox had stolen the treasure. Thus the angered Chief decided to punish Fox. As Fox passed near their village they used one of their young to lower Fox's guard then dropped on him out of trees. They intended to torture him to death by their usual sacrificial ways. But Fox teamed up with a grateful CloudRunner whose tribe he'd just saved and was able to escape.

The Chief LightFoot was impressed with Fox, and offered to show him the entrance to a Krazoa Shrine if he could complete two LightFoot tests. The first LightFoot test is a race to beat the fastest time to activate 4 totem poles around the Village. Followed by the second test, the test of strength against the strongest LightFoot in the village; MuscleFoot. When Fox passes both of the tests, The Chief LightFoot names him an honorary member of the tribe and allowed him to enter the chamber under their village, where the Krazoa Shrine lies hidden.

*Chief LightFoot
*MuscleFoot

Trivia
*The LightFoots seem to be based heavily off stereotyped Central American Indians. Their devious ways and feathery headdress seem to back this notion, as well as their sacrificial tendencies.

Krazoa Palace is the Saurians' most sacred place in Star Fox Adventures. Here, the Krazoa Spirits resided before being hidden from General Scales around Sauria by the EarthWalkers. Scales attacked the Palace in order to capture the Spirits for himself. The EarthWalkers sent by the King EarthWalker defended the place against Scales, but were massacred, as they were outnumbered. It is also the place where Krystal was imprisoned in a life-draining device. It was revealed that Andross was using her body to channel the Krazoa energy from Sauria to resurrect and reincarnate himself. Fox McCloud returned the Krazoa Spirits to the Palace.
The Krazoa Palace has many places to release the Krazoa spirits, thus making it so that there is always a new place to explore inside the palace.

Krystal came to the palace to answer a distress signal sent by the EarthWalkers. She explored the inside of the palace until she found the one who sent the distress signal. When she finds him, he sent her into the first Krazoa Shrine to collect the first spirit. When she released this spirit, an unknown entity imprisoned her in a strange device that drained her of her powers. After being tasked by a Krazoa spirit to collect the others, Fox collected the remaining spirits. Unlike Krystal, who had simply flown there, Fox had to use the WarpStone statue to get there. When Fox returned the first Krazoa, he first saw Krystal and instantly fell in love. The final time Fox came to the palace, he came from the chunk of Sauria that held the Walled City and landed straight on the palace rooftop. He released the fifth spirit, only to have opened another shrine. When he went into that shrine, he faced General Scales himself. The voice of Andross interuptted them and forced Scales to give Fox the final Krazoa Spirit. Fox released the Spirit at the top of the palace. Upon the Spirits return, they were channeled into Krystal's body and their energies were fired into a giant Krazoa head statue. The shock destroyed the device that imprisoned Krystal, who was then saved by Fox. Fox then got into his Arwing and followed Andross into space. After Andross's defeat, Fox flew over the Krazoa Palace to see the SharpClaw army holding General Scales's belt aloft, symbolizing Scales's defeat. It is unknown if the Krazoa Palace was harmed during the Aparoid invasion.
The Ice Mountain is a location present in Star Fox Adventures. It is only reachable after Fox has given WarpStone the Rock Candy, which will lead to him being able to take Fox to three different areas, with one of them being the Ice Mountain.

The Ice Mountain is a pretty small area and as the name implies it's a mountain covered in ice and snow. Its main purpose is simply being the place where Fox's first encounter with Tricky occurres, while the first time they really interact with each other is at Wastes. An occasional obstacle which Fox stumbles across here is the SharpClaw Cannon. Fox is also able to plant a Bomb Spore Plant nearby the cannon to find a well which contains one of eight Cheat Tokens.

When Fox enters the area, a flying aircraft sends Tricky down where he gets mistreated by two SharpClaws, he is later taken to a cave which gets obstructed by an impenetrable metal door. Fox has to break a wall consisting of several SharpClaw Crates with a Fuel Barrel, which will make him able to reach two SharpClaws who must be defeated in order to proceed. Once they've been defeated a Fire Blaster Switch will appear, when it has been activated Fox is able to reach the cave where Tricky has been taken. After a cutscene where Fox through speech tries to free Tricky, Tricky manages to flee; which leads to a race between the two SharpClaws and Fox. The purpose of the race is to defeat the SharpClaws by bashing into them with the SharpClaw Racer before the course ends. If Fox successes, he will after a cutscene appear in SnowHorn Wastes.

LightFoot Village is a location on planet Sauria in Star Fox Adventures.
Home to the aggressive and spiritual LightFoot Tribe, the village is separated from the rest of Sauria by a tall gray brick wall. The village is only accessable through a small iron gate that can only be raised using a secret combination of hits given to three specific trees outside the village. LightFoot Village is a swampy land, built over a lake with a large, earth covered chamber in the center. The houses the tribe live in are built on large stilts over the lake, the LightFoot Chief's hut being the only part built at a lower height than the others.

History
Fox McCloud first entered the village when he was set up, ambushed and knocked out by the LightFoot tribe after trying to help a baby LightFoot. When he woke up, Fox found himself tied to a totem pole and was interrigated by Chief LightFoot. This was due to an earlier incident where Fox rescued a LightFoot tribe member from being beaten up by a SharpClaw in Cape Claw after the LightFoot had stolen a Fire Gem. The LightFoot threw the gem to Fox and swam away after a SharpClaw on the otherside of the bay saw what was going on and started to fire a canon at them.
Fox was accused of being a thief and the LightFoot Fox had saved was calling for him to be killed. At this, the tribe members began to move toward him with the intention of stabbing them with their spears. A CloudRunner who had been watching the events unfolding came to save Fox by shooting flames at the attacking LightFoots. The Chief eventually pleaded with Fox to stop the CloudRunner, after which, Fox was released.

On his second encounter with the Chief and after the Chief realised Fox was actually on their side, he is told of a chamber under the village that was supposedly built by the Krazoa. In order to access the third Krazoa Shrine, he has to pass two tests set by the tribe. The Tracking Test and the Test of Strength.

The Tracking Test
The first of the two tests require Fox to search the village and activate four totem polls quicker than a time set by MuscleFoot of two minutes, thirty seconds. Fox can activate the totem poles in any order bit if Fox fails to do so before the time runs out, he must restart the test.

#The first totem pole is located next to the Chief's hut. Fox must climb a ladder and run across a bridge in order to reach it.
#The second requires Fox to swim across the lake, use Tricky's flame command to burn through a thorn bush blocking the way and boost up to a ledge.
#The third is located nearby. Fox has to head back the way he came but keep to the same side of the lake where he will find some stepping stones to jump onto.
#The final totem pole, located in the south-east part of the village, requires Fox to swim across a large portion of the lake whilst avoiding whirlpools. Once across and onto a small island, he has to climb a tall tower.

After completing the test successfully, Fox returns to the Chief's hut where the Chief congratulates Fox.

The Test of Strength
In this test, Fox McCloud goes head to head with MuscleFoot, the village's strongest LightFoot.

The competitors stand on either side of a wooden totem pole paddle and use it to push against each other in a modified tug of war. The goal is for one participant to push the other around into a pit located behind them almost 90 degrees from where they start. The competitor who is pushed into the pit loses.

Underground Chamber
Once Fox completes both LightFoot tests successfully, the Chief declares him an honourary member of the LightFoot tribe. This allows him to enter the underground chamber in the centre of the village. Once inside, in order to raise another gate that leads to a warp room to the Krazoa Shrine, Fox must activate a totem pole that is in the centre of the room. He does so by standing on a pressure pad and this starts rotating several sections on the totem pole. Using the staff, Fox must shoot at the totem pole section when the pattern on the side matches up with the one below it.

When Fox successfully stops each section and matches the pattern, the gate opens and Fox can then take the Test of Fear.

Trivia
*As a sidequest after he becomes a member of the tribe, Fox can help several LightFoot mothers find their lost babies who are scattered all around the village. After successfully finding and returning all of the babies, this allows Fox to use the staff rocket boost to access an area with a Cheat Token well.
The CloudRunner Fortress is region on Sauria ruled by the CloudRunner tribe. It was one of the four areas of the planet to be uprooted during General Scales' attack on Sauria.

Design
The fortress is surrounded by a moat. The moat forces prompt anyone who approaches the fortress by foot to compete in a timed race. The buildings are designed to look like blue and white ancient ruins. The fortress features a large courtyard in the center. The Queen CloudRunner's chamber is located just above a treasure room. A dungeon is located in the depths of the fortress, though it is possible that this was built during the SharpClaw takeover. The fortress is powered by a generator which is located next to the courtyard.

History
Not much is known about the area prior to the events of Star Fox Adventures other than it was ruled by the Queen CloudRunner. Shortly before the arrival of Fox McCloud, General Scales stormed the CloudRunner Fortress. Using it as storehouse for the SharpClaw tribe's riches, Scales began to hide Sauria's SpellStones.

Having been freed from her prison in Cape Claw by Fox McCloud, the Queen CloudRunner led him to the fortress. There, Fox battled SharpClaw forces until he found General Scales interrogating the Queen CloudRunner. Fox revealed himself, but Scales ambushed and imprisoned him. Fox managed to escape with the help of the SharpClaw Disguise sent by Slippy Toad and rescued the queen once more. The queen asked Fox then to help find her lost children, who had been attacked by the SharpClaw. After Fox found the children, the queen opened the pathway to the treasure room. There, Fox once again confronted General Scales, who escaped after giving three of his minions one of the SpellStones. Fox followed the three SharpClaw on a speeder and defeated each one, winning him the SpellStone. Fox then left the CloudRunner Fortress to return to the main part of Sauria.

The CloudRunner Tribe is one of the many tribes on the planet Sauria. It is also one of the planet's ruling tribes, the other being the EarthWalkers, with whom they have some kind of a disagreement. The tribe is based on pterodactyls. The CloudRunners mainly live in the Fortress, which broke off of the main planet prior to the events of Star Fox Adventures and was later returned. The tribe is ruled by Queen Cloudrunner. In his attempt to conquer Sauria, General Scales hit the CloudRunners the hardest so that he could use their fortress as a base. The CloudRunners allied themselves with Fox McCloud after he saved their queen. One CloudRunner rebel (Kyte) helped Krystal on her way to the Krazoa Palace and was later rescued by Fox. Dragon Rock is a desolate location on the planet Sauria in Star Fox Adventures. It was also one of the pieces of Sauria that had broken off due to the work of General Scales. Scales used the area as a testing ground to create mutant dinosaurs such as Drakor.

Layout
Dragon Rock is a barren, desert area. There are many natural towers of stone located in the area. During General Scales's rule, he had a large tower built which housed his experiment, Drakor. This tower was shielded by energy created by six other towers. Scales also built several areas which housed prisons for several rebels including a CloudRunner, a HighTop, and an EarthWalker. Dragon Rock is also a dangerously volcanic area as there are many lava spout in the area.

History
Next to nothing is known about Dragon Rock, even after General Scales took control. Sometime after Dragon Rock broke off from Sauria, General Scales began using it to create monstrous fusions of dinosaurs. A rebellion was launched at some point, led by the GateKeeper of Dragon Rock, an unnamed ThornTail. Unfortunately, General Scales crushed the rebellion and only the ThornTail GateKeeper escaped. At least three members of the rebellion were imprisoned.

With the help of the ThornTail GateKeeper, Fox McCloud was able to fly his Arwing to Dragon Rock. Fox helped free an imprisoned EarthWalker. With the help of the EarthWalker, Fox defeated the Sentinels around Dragon Rock. The destruction of the Sentinels allowed Fox to free a HighTop, who took Fox to where a CloudRunner was imprisoned. Fox saved the CloudRunner, who revealed himself to be the CloudRunner who saved Krystal on General Scales's airship. The CloudRunner helped Fox take out the spires that shielded the tower in the center of the area and flew him into the tower. There, Fox encountered Drakor, one of General Scales's experiments in mutation. Fox went after Drakor on a floating platform, using Krystal's staff to blast at the flying monstrosity. After a long battle, Fox blasted Drakor into the lava, getting the SpellStone that the creature was guarding. Fox then left Dragon Rock to return the final SpellStone to the Ocean Force Point Temple.
When Fox first met him, the WarpStone only complained about not being brought gifts to anymore. Fox bought the Rock Candy in Store and presented it to the WarpStone. At first, the WarpStone refused to help, but later agrees to help Fox by warping him to a couple of places as well as granting access to the Game Well Maze. He used his right hand to warp Fox to the Ice Mountain and the left one for Krazoa Palace. He reveals the entrance to Game Well Maze by lifting himself up a bit. Shabunga (according to the Nintendo Power Star Fox Adventures official player's guide), commonly referred to in game as just the ShopKeeper is a character from Star Fox Adventures. He runs the Store, the only shop on Dinosaur Planet and subsequently the only shop in Starfox Adventures where he will trade various goods to Fox in exchange for Scarabs, the currency of Sauria. He is also the host of a gambling minigame in the Scarab Room.

Appearance and Personality
The ShopKeeper is a dinosaur of an unknown tribe, though he most closely resembles a SharpClaw. He is shown to have a tail but no legs and does not walk but instead levitates and teleports around ThornTail Store. His middle eastern styled image, shop, related music, use of magic and implied immortality make him appear similar to the djinn or genies of Arab folklore and popular culture.

The shopkeeper is very rude and short tempered, this is shown most clearly when he tells Fox to get out of ThornTail Store as part of the dialogue for speaking to him or during the haggling minigame if the player does not offer a high enough price for an item three times. As Fox explores his store the Shopkeeper can be heard complaining about various things and considering moving to Cape Claw. He is at least 200 years old, as one of the things he complains about is pushing around goods in the store for 200 years.

Some of the items within ThornTail store are stolen by the ShopKeeper himself, such as the Golden Alpine Root, which was taken from the blue SnowHorn in Snowhorn Wastes, and the Hi-Def Display Device, which originally belonged to the Star Fox team.
DarkSamus89https://starfoxwiki.info/w/index.php?title=ThornTail_Store&diff=75141ThornTail Store2012-12-16T11:21:23Z
DarkSamus89: Corrected a link

His shop is divided into the Main Room, the Scarab Room, and 3 shopping rooms, all of which have a different color representing the nature of the goods sold in the particular room. The Main Room's doors form an inequilateral hexagon, which connects all the other rooms to the Main Room. If the player takes the first door from either left or right of the entrance, he or she will end up in the Scarab Room. The second door on left leads to the Blue Room and the second door on the right leads to the Purple Room. The Red Room is located opposite the entrance. There is also a well in the middle of the Main Room, from which Fox may buy a Cheat Token. The cheat token may be taken to the Game Well Maze under the WarpStone.
The Scarab Room
In this room, Scarabs can be gambled with the ShopKeeper. First he asks the amount of Scarabs to be gambled, with the maximum of ten. He then throws the desired number of Green Scarabs into the play area, from where they have to be collected within 30 seconds. The catch is, that he also frees the same amount of Purple Scarabs in the play area, which when collected, result in losing the bet. The amount of Scarabs lost is reduced by the amount of Green ones collected before stumbling into a Purple one. For example, with a 10 Scarab bet, and only four collected Scarabs before getting a Purple one, will result in six Scarab loss. The bet is won if all Green ones are collected. The prize is rather unsurprisingly the amount of Scarabs gambled. Playing the game actually costs nothing unless a bet is lost.

Trivia
*If Fox talks to the ThornTail in front of the WarpStone area's entrance before going to the Mines, the ThornTail asks Fox if he has visited the Warp Stone Shop yet. This may imply that the ThornTail Store has had its name changed in later parts of the game's development, since the only shop in the whole game is the ThornTail Store.
The HighTops are a tribe of Dinosaurs on the planet Sauria during Star Fox Adventures. HighTops are based on Apatosaurus. They are the largest tribe in terms of physical size, but are one of the least intelligent and easy going tribes of Sauria. The home of the HighTops is uncertain, although it may possibly be Cape Claw, however, as only one is seen there and the area appears to be too small for the massive HighTops, they may reside in another area not shown in the game.

The HighTops are one of the most social tribes on Sauria as one is shown being friends with three different tribes. It is unknown if the HighTops have a ruler or just a small, leaderless tribe that drifts through Sauria. They are almost as large as their predator, the RedEye tribe. Their tribal name comes from their long necks. Two HighTops helped Fox McCloud on his quest, one on Dragon Rock, and one on Cape Claw.

Trivia
*Fox's PDA states that there are not many HighTops left. This is evidenced by there being only two seen in the game. Exactly what caused the low number of the HighTops is unknown.

RedEye is the name of a tribe on Sauria that appears in Star Fox Adventures. The RedEye tribe is a group of carnivorous dinosaurs that exactly match the Tyrannosaurus Rex in terms of appearance. They are the main enemies within the Walled City, and were once imprisoned and guarded by soldiers of the EarthWalker tribe. Their leader is the ferocious King RedEye, who holds a SpellStone atop his forehead.

Biography
Little is known about the RedEye tribe, but it was once said they had been locked away within the Walled City by the EarthWalker tribe who guarded over the fortress, making sure none would escape. Unlike the other tribes of Dinosaur Planet, the RedEye are the most unsophisticated, which may be the reason for them being locked away by the EarthWalkers. They are the second largest of the dinosaur tribes, next to the HighTop tribe. When General Scales attacked Sauria, the RedEye were released from their prison to roam free within the Walled City. Ironically the King EarthWalker was then imprisoned and his soldiers fled, keeping a safe distance from the large brutes.

The King was surrounded by RedEyes, having no chance of escaping. Fox McCloud and Tricky arrived in good time to save the King EarthWalker and dispose of the free-roaming RedEyes. Only the largest and most cunning RedEye was left, the King RedEye. He awaited deep inside the basement of the large temple at the center of the Walled City for his next victim.

As Fox journeyed deep into the temple, he came upon the monstrous King RedEye. Whilst ordinary RedEye were about the same size as an ordinary Tyrannosaurus, the King was many times that size, maybe even bigger than a Giganotosaurus and Spinosaurus. This massive creature tried to crush Fox with his feet, but his main weakness was electricity. The EarthWalkers left magical switches that would trigger the electric waves and bring down the King RedEye. After falling, the beast had explosive barrels thrown in his face until he was finally defeated. Fox, lifting the SpellStone from the King RedEye's forehead, took evasive action when the creature, with his last breath, moved his gaping jaws towards the hero. Fox jumped atop the King RedEye and stabbed him in his forehead with Krystal's staff, finally killing him.

The Venomian Army sometimes referred to as Androssians, was the army of the planet Venom which operated under the control of Andross. The army was destroyed by both the Cornerian Defense Force and Star Fox at the end of the Lylat Wars, although small groups of it remained at least up to the time of the Aparoid invasion. These groups were kept at bay during those times, being forced to stay on Fortuna as a last resort before the Aparoids invaded.

History
The Venomian army was a disciplined and ruthless force that nearly succeeded in conquering the Lylat System. The invasion of a planet by Venom forces was a planned operation broken down into three stages. The first stage was for Venomian forces to gain air superiority over the enemy, either through overwhelming numbers, superior technology, or both. The fact that the underdeveloped Cornerian Army didn't suspect an attack helped in their goal immensely. The initial wave of star fighters would draw air defense units into meeting them head on, allowing a second wave of fighters to come in and overwhelm the preoccupied defenders. With the skies clear of enemies, the second stage began as bombardment craft proceeded to rain destruction on the now-defenseless ground units. With most ground forces destroyed, the final stage began as shock troops were dropped to round up and enslave any survivors.

The invasion of Katina by the Venomian Army served as a textbook example of the above tactics, at least until the Star Fox team succeeded in disrupting their plans and destroying their invasion force.

During the period of peace after the Lylat Wars, what was left of the Venomain Army appeared to be very resourceful, as more then nine years later they had battleships and bases. The last of the Venomain Army led by Andrew Oikonny fled to the forest planet Fortuna in a final stand against the Cornerian Army's forces. The battle seemed to be a losing one until they brought out their secret weapons, but then the Cornerian Army was aided by the Star Fox Team in breaking through their defenses. It is to be assumed that the rest of the Venomain Army was destroyed after Star Fox took out their leader.

Star Fox
The Venomian army was mostly comprised of bipedal lizards seemingly under the influence of Emperor Andross. It is learned that after Andross was banished to Venom for his crimes against Corneria, he soon found the planet was indeed populated by a civilization of lizards who were not very well educated in modern technology. But, the planet was rich in ancient technology, and scribes to extremely powerful weapons, which Andross used to build his army. While in his exile, Andross also created the telekinetic amplifier, which he used to enslave majority of the lizard race on Venom. Only a majority of the lizards joined him voluntarily, vowing undying loyalty to him. They were known as the Imperial Guard.

Star Fox 2
Again, the lizard armies of Andross returned in this non-released game, using more powerful weapon then before. Using battleships of unknown classes, they stormed past the outer-lying planets via interplanetary hyperspace. The Venomian army also employed the very first versions of Bio-weapons, such as the Mirage Dragon seen destroying a fleet of Cornerian vessels in the opening credits. It is also non-canon due to the game never being officially released.

Star Fox 64
In Star Fox 64 (a remake of Star Fox), the Venomian army is again wreaking havoc on Corneria. In this game, Andross was exiled to planet Venom due to his experiments that nearly turned Corneria into a lifeless wasteland. During his time on Venom, he managed to amass a very large army, also creating planetary defenses, such as the Bolse Defense satellite, and Area-6. He also built many factories, and armory plants to build his army which would eventually be his tool for revenge. Once his army was assembled, armed, and his fleets were loaded, he set a course for Corneria, and the other planets, using the blitzkrieg tactic.

Star Fox: Assault
During the opening credits to the first level, many Venomian and Cornerian vessels are seen exchanging cannon fire at one another. Venom had produced an unknown type of new star ship capable of taking on a Cornerian Assault Frigate, which was a relatively well rounded ship. However, it couldn't withstand a full scale bombardment from the many enemy vessels. This was made known when the Cornerian Assault forces charged at them, firing volley after volley of light laser rounds.
Many were destroyed during this skirmish, even after the deployment of Andrew Oikonny's Stealth Squadron.

Star Fox Command
After Star Fox: Assault, the Venomian Army was wiped out.In one ending of Star Fox Command, Dash Bowman, grandson of Andross, rebuilt the Venomain Empire, once again enlisting the aid of ape soldiers. It is unknown what has become of Lylat since Dash rebuilt the empire.

Spacecraft
Satellites
*Bolse Defense Satellite - An enormous satellite in the space above Venom. Destroyed by the Star Fox team during the Lylat Wars.
*Umbra-class Defense Station - A satellite developed by the Venomian Army. The Star Fox team only encountered these in the attack on Area 6.

Warships
*Dorisby-class Battleship - A battleship that was impervious to starfighter level attacks. The Star Fox team managed to disarm it by destroying its laser turrets.
*Grazan-class Carrier - A battleship with twin hulls used in the battle of Sector Y. Though Star Fox could not defeat the battleships, they easily managed to evade them.
*Harlock-class Frigates - A ship used during the Lylat War known for its speed and power, though its defense was compromised for this. The Star Fox team managed to easily defeat these ships with the help of the Great Fox.
*Oikonny's Flagship - The ship Andrew Oikonny commanded the remnants of the Venomian Army from. It was capable of transforming in a robot similar in design to Andross, though featuring Andrew's head rather than Andross. The Star Fox team fought this robot and wore it down, but were unable to defeat it. During on of Oikonny's monologues, the ship was destroyed by an Aparoid.
*Saruzin -The flagship of the Venomian Army during the Lylat War. It was stationed in Sector Y where it released the Shogun and Shogun Warriors to attack the Star Fox team.
*Saucerer - An invasion ship sent by Andross to destroy a Cornerian base on Katina. It featured a powerful beam cannon that took sixty seconds to charge. It also worked as a carrier ship for Invader II Fighters that it released during the invasion. It was destroyed by Fox McCloud.
*Venomian Battlecruiser - A battleship used by Andrew Oikonny when cornered by the Cornerian Defense Force. Fox McCloud exploited one of the ships' weaknesses to split those he encountered in two.
*Zeram-class Cruiser - The Venomian Army's most powerful capital ship. The Star Fox team only ever encountered them in the attack on Area 6. The team was able to defeat them using a design flaw in the ships shielding where the bridge of the ship was shielded less.

Utility Ships
*Meteo Crusher - A ship designed to clear the Meteo Asteroid Belt of asteroids. It was destroyed by the Star Fox team.

Starfighters
*Invader I Fighters - A starfighter stationed at a base on Fichina.
*Invader II Fighters - A modified version of the Invader I. The Saucerer ship released these ships during its attack on Cornerian base on Katina.
*Invader III Fighters - An enhanced version of the Invader II. Andross sent these ships to preoccupy the Star Fox team while a series of Copperhead missiles were launched at the Great Fox. Pilot Katt Monroe's ship, the Cat's Paw, was modified from an Invader III prototype.
*Bolse Fighters - A starfighter designed to protect the Bolse Defense Satellite. It featured a personal shield which was generated by the satellite.
*Borzoi Fighters - A starfighter created to defend the Sector X base.
The Cat's Paw is a reverse-engineered Invader III Fighter prototype piloted by Katt Monroe in Star Fox 64 and its remake. It was stolen from the Venomian Army and heavily modified into its present state. Katt stole the ship after her original one was destroyed by the Venomian Army. When Katt was asked by Falco Lombardi about how the event played, Katt just told him to be thankful that she was on his side.

Its capabilities are unknown, however, it appears to be capable of the same maneuvers Arwings are capable of including (but possibly not limited to) Barrel Rolls and U-Turns. When the Cat's Paw Barrel rolls, it sends off a trail of sparkles into the surrounding air.

Cat's Paw 2
The Cat's Paw is believed to either have been destroyed or outmoded by new technology, thus leading Katt to create the Cat's Paw 2, appearing in Star Fox Command. Like Katt herself, the ship was completely redesigned. The Cat's Paw 2 featured a Single Lock and an Arc Laser. It could hold two Smart Bombs, but it also had one of the lowest Boost stats of all the personal fighters. In one of the endings, Katt forsook this ship for a pink Sky Claw when she joined Falco's mercenary team.

The Gorgon is one of Andross' deadliest weapons that is located in Area 6, and Venom's last defense. It is equipped with a powerful superlaser capable of piercing the crust of a planet or destroying large ships. The weapon can defend itself from starfighters by firing waves of armor piercing missiles or by extending its three tentacles to physically slam into the target ship. The Gorgon also possesses a Dimension Transport System that enables it to phase in and out of reality, something that scientists have thought to be impossible until now. It served as the last line of defense in Area 6.

Weakness
Once its arms are destroyed, it is forced to open its body and repair them. It will then release three bonded energy orbs to help. Shooting the energy orbs until they are depleted will cause the shield protecting its core to disappear. Once this has happened, shoot the core until the second shield is gone and its core is revealed. Shoot the core until the machine is destroyed.

Trivia
*The Gorgon is named after the gorgons, vicious female monsters from Greek mythology. It is said that one who looked upon a gorgon would be instantly turned to stone. Medusa is probably the most recognizable and well-know of the three gorgon sisters. The Gorgon machine could be named so because of the resemblance of its tentacle-arms to Medusa's famous snake-hair.
*When Pigma is infected with the Aparoids and Fused with machinery, he strongly resembles Gorgon, having similar attacks and defense purposes.
The Forever Train is a train used by the Venomian Army to bring supplies to a supply depot on Macbeth. It serves as a boss in Star Fox 64 and Star Fox 64 3D, and it contains another boss called the Mechbeth.

The Forever Train is seen throughout the entire level on Macbeth. The engineer of the train tries to evade the Star Fox Team by dropping loads of rocks in Fox's way. Fox eventually destroys all of the cars attached, leaving only the locomotive, and another car holding a boss called Mechbeth. The Engineer activates the Mechbeth as a last resort.

Eventually, Fox destroys the train, in one of two ways: If Fox hits all of the switches, the tracks change, and the train is carried towards a restricted area of the supply depot, and it crashes into it, killing the engineer, and destroying the train, the Mechbeth, and the depot in a tremendous explosion. But if Fox misses the switches, he is forced to battle the Mechbeth. If he destroys it, the damaged Mechbeth crashes down on top of the train, destroying the train, and killing the engineer. The first method takes the Star Fox Team to Area 6 and the second one to Bolse.
DarkSamus89https://starfoxwiki.info/w/index.php?title=Saucerer&diff=75131Saucerer2012-12-16T10:21:00Z
DarkSamus89: Added appearance in Star Fox 64 3D

Saucerer is a heavily fortified assault craft used by the Venomian Army in the invasion of enemy planets in Star Fox 64. The massive vessel is rumored to have been based off of plans stolen from aliens in a distant part of the galaxy. Its primary armament is the Core Weapon, a beam cannon with enough power to vaporize any city in the known galaxy, though it requires sixty seconds to charge in which its energy generator is exposed. Saucerer also acts as a carrier for hundreds of Invader II Fighters used against airborne threats.

Saucerer is encountered by the Star Fox team when they came to the aid of the beleaguered Cornerian Defense Force on Katina. Despite deploying its full compliment of fighter craft, Saucerer was unable to gain air superiority over the Katina military base, and when it attempts to deploy its Core Weapon, Fox McCloud succeeded in destroying the exposed generator, setting off a chain reaction that ultimately destroyed the vessel.

Strategy
In order to defeat the Saucerer, Fox had to destroy the four hatches on the ship's underside. The hatches open and close, and Fox needed to wait until they open and then shoot them. Bill Grey, the leader of the Cornerian Army defending against the Saucerer, and good friend of Fox, will tell him when all the hatches are exposed. When all four are down, the core will appear. Fox has 60 seconds to destroy it, or it will destroy the base.

Trivia
*The Saucerer, and in fact the entire level, greatly resembles and is probably based off of the 1996 film Independence Day.
| location = Zoness
}}

The Sarumarine is the boss of Zoness in Star Fox 64 piloted by a nameless primate who spoke with a heavy, stereotypical pirate voice. The ship itself, by its name, can submerge and emerge in water.

History
Prior to the Lylat Wars, the Sarumarine was originally a research station. However, after Zoness was captured by Andross, the research station had also began to be used to cause pollution on Zoness under Andross' control, and began acting as a primary base for his army.

Lylat Wars
During the Lylat Wars, word was received to Cornerian intelligence that a base was on Zoness, a fact that also surprised General Pepper. Star Fox team then had to sneak into Zoness and start a bombing raid on the base, destroying the radar searchlight buoys to maintain cover. Unfortunately, the Sarumarine had managed to spot them halfway and waited for them at the end, even after all of the buoys were destroyed. It then attempted to sneak attack the Star Fox team and Katt Monroe by releasing explosive barrels and then revealed itself. After it's snorkels were destroyed by the Star Fox team, it then attempted to fix any damages from the team (such as any detachments of the cannon/mine units) with it's crane, although Star Fox managed to destroy the crane. Afterwards, it was eventually sunk by the Star Fox team.

Special Abilities
The Sarumarine is equipped with massively thick hull armor that would deflect most (if not all) weaponry. Aside from its defensive capabilities, it had its own weapons which include a large chained macehead that erupts from the front of the machine at Fox's Arwing.

Also included are a supply of detonating barrels that erupt into a pillar of fire when they go off. These small barrels can float along the water's surface and can be seen scattered throughout the level as well. The barrels are deployed from two large attachments on either side of the Sarumarine.

The two large attachments are also capable of firing off iron spheres at Fox, but moreover of a distraction (or for the game's purpose of supplying the player with Smart Bombs).

The Sarumarine also has the ability to dive underwater to avoid the player. When this happens, a periscope comes up over the top of the water.

Additionally, the Sarumarine is capable of reattaching its lost barrel spewing compartments by means of a salvage crane it has on its back.

Finally, the ship is also capable of firing its own lasers. But since this weapon isn't used until the armor breaks off, it is unknown whether or not this weapon is capable of firing with the armor still on.

Weaknesses
The Sarumarine, though it has impressive defense, like all weapons, has a fatal flaw in its design. The armor has openings in it where the exploding barrels are deployed from. Since these slots are necessary to release these barrels, this weakness cannot be avoided by the designer.

The exhaust pipes are also susceptible to Smart Bombs and can be blown off. When this happens, the vessel can no longer submerge.

If the periscope is destroyed with Smart Bombs while the Sarumarine is underwater, the pilot will continue to attack despite his loss of sight. After he says this, the Sarumarine will still attack, but its chain mace will be less accurate.

The salvage crane used to reattach the broken off compartments is also vulnerable and once taken care of, the Sarumarine can no longer replenish its defense.

Firing Smart Bombs into the openings breaks away the ship's armor from within until it finally becomes susceptible to normal laser fire. Of which, the ship can now be easily and quickly dispatched.

Trivia
*The name of the Sarumarine comes from submarine, and "Saru", the Japanese word for "monkey".

Mechbeth is a mechanical construct used in the defense of Macbeth during the Lylat Wars in Star Fox 64. Created by Andross, Mechbeth was an advanced combat system with a fatal flaw: its internal power generator was still in development at the outbreak of the war. For this reason, it had to rely on an outside source for power, tethered to an energy supply train. However, its combat computer was fully functional. Mechbeth was also armed with three potentially dangerous attacks: an explosive iron bar launcher installed on the head, beam generators installed on the wings, and a tail in which it can spear its enemies and drop them. These three attacks were purported to be the most deadly weapons ever designed on the planet.

Strategy
Mechbeth can be defeated using one of two ways, and the method used will ultimately determine which stage the player is able to visit next. The first method is simply to fight it head-on. Mechbeth's weak points are its "head" with which it fires its lance-like projectiles, and its "mouth" which it uses to scoop up and bite the Fox's Landmaster. Once those have been destroyed, a hatch will periodically open on the train and drop boxes which project energy barriers; shooting inside the opening will cause Mechbeth to spin wildly out of control for a few seconds, exposing its vulnerable back, which must be shot in order to destroy it. If this method is used, the player will take the "easy" path to Bolse.
If the train reaches the supply depot during this fight, he'll have the weapon use an instant kill attack on Fox.

The second method is the preferred method, and is arguably easier, though planning is required, and that is to switch the track by shooting eight tall switches by the side of the track. Falco will shoot the eighth switch if he is present, and if the player came to Macbeth from Zoness, Katt Monroe will shoot the second and fifth switches. Once all eight switches have been hit, the large switcher lever will appear which will switch the track when shot, causing the train to crash into the fuel depot, scoring a Hit+50. If this method is used, the player is able to choose to take the "hard" path to Area 6.
Plot
Star Fox Command takes place two to three years after the events of Star Fox: Assault, and tells the story of the invasion of the Lylat System by the Anglar, as well as the recently separated Star Fox team.

According to the prologue, every member of Star Fox except for ROB 64 and Fox McCloud himself have disbanded from the team. Fox broke off his relationship with Krystal and forced her to leave the team for the sake of her safety. Slippy Toad found amphibian love with a frog named Amanda, and Peppy Hare was made the general of the Cornerian Defense Force as a result of General Pepper's forced retirement due to illness. Falco Lombardi became somewhat of a loner, and simply drifted from job to job. There are also new characters such as Dash Bowman, who is the grandson of Andross, and for the first time ever James McCloud is also playable during the Dash Makes a Choice level.

Throughout the course of the game, however, the team can reassemble and thwart the Anglar Empire, or take entirely different paths.

Several other characters make playable appearances, such as Wolf O'Donnell, Leon Powalski, and Panther Caroso, who want to remove bounties from their heads, and Katt Monroe, who usually appears when Falco needs a hand. Other familiar, but unplayable, characters are also present, such as Andrew Oikonny, who had joined forces with the Anglars.

Endings
Currently, the true path of the storyline is unknown. In one interview, Dylan Cuthbert and Takaya Imamura stated that the next game could very well start in the middle of Command. An issue of Nintendo Power has also stated that the canon ending is the standard ending, The Anglar Emperor. It has been said in an interview that the Star Fox series may be over, but if a sequel is made, it will determine which ending is canon, or whether the game (or even its prologue) is canon at all.CitationNeeded

Fox and Krystal
The first ending features Fox, Krystal, Falco, and Slippy leaving Venom and returning to Aquas to meet Slippy's fiancee, Amanda. Fox has learned his lesson and realized the value of friendship and love. Upon meeting the team, Amanda decided to join the Star Fox team to travel the galaxy with Slippy. With Venom purified, Dash took control of its evolution. Dash was made steward of Venom and began his struggle to build a new empire.

Goodbye, Fox
With the Anglar Emperor defeated, Fox disbanded the Star Fox team and went to Sauria per ROB 64's advice. There, he met up with Krystal and promised her that they would be together. The two were eventually married and had one young cub named Marcus. Marcus quickly found that he had the same piloting skills as his mother and father. He soon followed in their footsteps and led a new Star Fox team with Peppy's granddaughter, one of Slippy's sons, and previous member, Falco Lombardi.

The Anglar Emperor
The Star Fox team reunited after defeating the Anglar Empire in the Asteroid Belt. The team looked forword to a brighter future, but Fox kept his feelings for Krystal hidden from her. Months later, Krystal revealed that she could no longer stay on the Star Fox team and left Fox. Fox was despondant and eventually Falco and Slippy left him alone. Krystal began her new life in the Star Wolf squadron and proved to be one of the best and toughest pilots in the galaxy.

This storyline is the one every player must go through before unlocking the Key of Destiny, which allows the player to follow different paths.

Star Wolf Returns!
Krystal had joined the Star Wolf team and, together, they finally became the heroes that they wanted to be. The citizens of Lylat praised Wolf, Leon, and Panther, but would not forgive Krystal for betraying Fox and his team. Krystal ignored the people at first, but soon found the insults unbearable and left Star Wolf and Lylat. She became a bounty huntress named Kursed and lived off the collection of the worst scum of the galaxy. Kursed eventually ran into Fox on the planet Kew. He did not recognize her and it is unknown what became of this meeting.

Lucy and Krystal
Having gathered on Corneria Krystal, Katt, Lucy, and Amanda planned a party for the returning Star Fox team. The party ensued for many hours. Just before morning, Peppy and Lucy left to remember their lost mother and wife, Vivian Hare, who had died shortly after the Lylat War. Fox and Krystal also left and the two confessed their feelings for each other. With Fox's promise of love, Krystal rejoined the Star Fox team.

Dash Makes a Choice
Dash decided to stay on Venom after the fall of the Anglar to fulfill his grandfather's wish. He continued to terraform the planet and, after many years, immigrants began to arrive. Eventually, Venom began to rival Corneria, and was at the heart of Dash's grand empire. One fateful day, Dash announced that Venom had become the heart of Lylat and denounced Corneria, thus plunging the Lylat System into war once more.

Slippy's Resolve
After clearing Aquas of the Anglar forces, Slippy and Amanda were married by ROB. Years passed, and the two had seven children who enjoyed Slippy's often told stories of his Star Fox days. When countless years rested upon Slippy, he began to wonder what had happened to Falco, Krystal, and Fox. He wondered if they still crossed the galaxy righting wrongs, but could only look up at the sky and wonder.

Pigma's Revenge
Falco was lost after defeating Pigma. Fox, Krystal, and Slippy had saved Lylat without him and he had been left alone. In his darkest moments, Falco recieved a message from Katt Monroe telling him to make his own team. The two teamed up with Dash Bowman and created Star Falco, a team that rivaled even the legendary Star Fox team.

The Curse of Pigma
Fox lived as one already dead after losing Krystal, his love of piloting, and all those that had looked up to him as their hero. It was only thanks to Falco's brainstorm that things began to brighten up. The two joined the G-Zero Grand Prix and became racing pilots, leaving behind the days of Star Fox.
Gameplay
Gameplay in Star Fox Command is far more rooted to the styles of Star Fox 64 than Star Fox Assault was. The levels start out with a turn-based movement system similar in style to Advance Wars. Players are marked by Arwings, enemies are marked by red dots, and bases are marked by small building sprites. This is very similar to the map system from Star Fox 2. "Fog of War" covers the field and the player can remove a certain amount of the fog once every turn. A player's flight path must intersect with that of an enemy to engage in battle. After engaging, the battle goes to a fully 3-D "All-Range Mode" stage. Here, the player uses the stylus to move their ship about and perform various maneuvers, while they can use any of the face buttons to fire their main weapons.

Gameplay Modes
Star Fox Command has two types of play within the single player game: a strategic map mode and a battle mode. The overworld-like map mode is where the player takes command of several ships. This mode is used to get ships into the battle mode and is essentially a simple turn-based strategy game. Up to four ships can be maneuvered at a time. The object of this mode is to prevent enemy ships from reaching the Great Fox. This mode also allows players to fire missiles from the Great Fox that they have picked up from exploring in this mode, or from meeting certain conditions in the battle mode (usually destroying all enemies). When a craft that is controlled by the player encounters an enemy group or missile in this mode, the gameplay switches to the battle mode. Battle mode is similar to the "all-range mode" employed in Star Fox 64 for some bosses and levels. Like the canceled Star Fox 2, the game is completely all-range as opposed to the "on-rails" levels featured in most other Star Fox games (however, the game will sometimes force the player to engage in classic "chase" missions in order to complete an objective). The usual objectives are to destroy a base ship, destroy all enemies, or collect a number of cores to complete the battle mode. Once the battle mode is completed, the game returns to the map mode.

As players progress through the game, they will be able to choose to go different routes upon completing certain levels. Each route has its own character dialogue to accompany it, and players will be able to visit differing planets depending on what routes they choose. The game features 9 different endings altogether. Players can access all of them by playing the game multiple times, selecting different routes each time. Instead of merely giving different perspectives on what happens to the Star Fox team, each ending is unique — the characters go in various directions depending on what ending is watched.

Star Fox Command does not feature traditional voice acting. Instead it outputs gibberish akin to the "voices" in Star Fox for the SNES, or the "Lylat speech" present in Star Fox (but not Star Fox 64). Players can also record their own voices into the game’s "gibberish generator" using the built-in DS microphone where it is converted into the garbled speech of the various characters.

Multiplayer
Star Fox Command supports 6-player local wireless for multiplayer matches via DS Download Play. Up to four players on the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection are supported. In Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection matches, only the Arwing II is available. Players score not by killing opponents, but by collecting stars from them when they have been destroyed. It is also possible to collect a star from an opponent not killed by the player. This is a modified version of the mode from Star Fox 64.

Power ups
*Twin laser upgrade: Equips player with twin lasers.
*Plasma laser upgrade: Equips player with plasma lasers.
*Time bomb: Gives players a modified smart bomb. When dropped, it leaves a five second countdown visible to others; at its end it explodes.
*Supply ring: Health.
*Stealth: Makes players invisible on screen and radar.

Stages
Stages are randomly selected, and all of them are in single player.

*City: City with buildings. Buildings are intangible but cause damage if flown through.

*Mountains: A green landscape with canyons and rivers.

*Ocean: A flat arena above water, very simple.

*Space: A space like arena.

*Fichina Mountains: Snowy mountains on the planet Fichina.

Reception
Star Fox Command debuted on the Japanese best seller list as number 14, selling over 20,000 copies on the first day. In the United States, it was the 5th best seller in the first week. Star Fox Command has received mostly favorable reviews. IGN gave it an 8.0, or "Impressive", calling it a "surprisingly rich and faithful action game" that had similar gameplay to Star Fox and Star Fox 64. Star Fox Command received IGN DS's August 2006 Game of the Month Award for capturing "the fun and essence of what made the series so significant. Fox is finally back in the Arwing -- where he belongs, Stylus control is mostly excellent, Strategy elements work well." The Associated Press noted the game for having developed the game to work well with the DS controls, but had mixed feelings about the turn-based sections of gameplay. Electronic Gaming Monthly claimed that while the game has its own charm, it lacks the original gameplay from Star Fox and Star Fox 64 and becomes repetitive. UK website Mansized gave Command a three out of five stars, stating that "Star Fox Command can’t hold a candle to previous games in the series." Command was nominated in three categories in Nintendo Power's annual vote-in awards, although it did not win any of them.
The Cornerian Fighter was the backbone fighter aircraft in the Cornerian Defense Force during the Lylat Wars, often deployed by carrier or surface base. They are seen on most Cornerian bases and fleets, such as Katina. It is a multi-purpose fighter designed for many different types of missions, and is customizable based on the users' strengths/weaknesses. During the Lylat Wars many of these fighters were mass produced at an astonishing rate to combat the massive numbers of the Venomian Army.

The generic Cornerian fighter got a slightly different look 11 years later in Star Fox Command with its wings tilted upward instead of down. Bill Grey mainly pilots the fighter in the game, but depending on certain paths taken by the many characters, Krystal may also fly one. However her fighter is colored different being a shade of purple and green. Dash Bowman also used a heavily modified fighter called the Monkey Arrow.
Star Fox 64 (スターフォックス 64 Sutā Fokkusu Rokujūyon), known in Australia and Europe as Lylat Wars due to trademark issues, is a scrolling shooter video game for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It was released on April 27, 1997 in Japan, on July 1, 1997 in North America and on October 20, 1997 in Europe and Australia. It was later ported to the China-only iQue on November 21, 2003. Additionally, it is a reimagined remake of the original Star Fox, and the first and only to be released on the Nintendo 64. It was made available for download on the Wii's Virtual Console on April 2, 2007 in North America, April 17, 2007 in Japan and on April 20, 2007 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The PAL version of Star Fox 64 (Lylat Wars) has an option of the Lylat language which is similar to the original Star Fox.

The planned second game in the series for the SNES, Star Fox 2, was canceled due to the upcoming release of the Nintendo 64, but some of its features were used in Star Fox 64, such as all range mode. It was the first game to introduce support for the Rumble Pak. The game received positive ratings from reviewers and critics who praised its smooth animation, detailed visuals, and use of multiple gameplay paths. It has been called one of the greatest games of all time, and is the most popular game in the series.

The music in Star Fox 64 was composed by Koji Kondo and Hajime Wakai.
Characters
;Fox McCloud
:The famous leader of the Star Fox team. He is the playable character throughout the game.
;Peppy Hare
:One of the original Star Fox members, he helps Fox McCloud with data on his enemies.
;Falco Lombardi
:Ace pilot of the Star Fox team. His flying capabilities are unmatched and having him on the team allows Fox to travel to different areas.
;Slippy Toad
:Mechanic of the Star Fox team. He helps Fox by sending him damage reports on the enemy.

Game modes
A player can play one of many modes in the game. There is Main Game mode, which goes through the storyline, Training, which teaches the player how to play the game, VS, which can have multiple players compete through Point Match, Battle Royal, and Time Trial, Ranking, which ranks players with their name (limit 3 letters) and number of hits, Sound, which allows the player to modify the game's sound, and Data, which lets the player delete saved data.

Adventure Mode
The evil Andross is banished to the deserted wasteland of Venom by General Pepper after trying to conquer Corneria, major planet of the Lylat System. Later Pepper detects strange goings on so he sends James McCloud, Pigma Dengar, and Peppy Hare to investigate. Upon arrival Pigma betrays the others and Andross captures them. In the fighting, Andross kills James while Peppy escapes to tell James's son Fox McCloud.

Years later Andross attacks the Lylat System again and declares war. Pepper sends the new Team Star Fox, consisting of Fox, Falco Lombardi, Peppy, and Slippy Toad. They go through Corneria to defeat Andross's forces there, and eventually end up fighting Andross's soldier Granga inside a mech, and destroy him. Alternately, Falco can lead Fox to the Attack Carrier, which Fox destroys sending it crashing into the ocean.

FIRST STAGE
1. Corneria
Level 1. Enter Star Fox

The first level along all difficulty paths, this is Fox McCloud's homeworld. The team must fly over the ocean route to Corneria City, repulse the invaders in the city, and proceed past it to fight a boss.

*Mission Complete: Go through this stage without saving Falco and/or going through all water arches then fight Granga to get to Meteo.
*Mission Accomplished: Save Falco, fly through all arches, then fight the Attack Carrier to get to Sector Y.
<gallery>
File:Starfox9.jpg|Boss
File:Starfoxscreenshot.jpg
</gallery>

EASY PATH
2. Meteo
Level 2. Into the Asteroid Field

While progressing towards Venomian forces, the team encounters the asteroid belt of Meteo. Many enemy fighters lie in ambush along the way.
*Mission Complete: Fight the Meteo Crusher to get to Fichina.
*Mission Accomplished: Go through all blue warp rings and warp to Katina.

3. Fichina
Level 3. Enter Star Wolf

The Venomian army has taken over a base on Fichina and planted a bomb there. When Star Fox became aware of this, Star Wolf showed up and attacked the team.
*Mission Complete: Leave Star Wolf alone and let the bomb explode to go to Sector X.
*Mission Accomplished: Take out Star Wolf and let Fox take care of the bomb to go to Solar.
*Note: Fichina is mistakenly called Fortuna in the English version of the game. The actual Fortuna is actually an entirely different planet.

4. Sector X
Level 4. Mystery of the Space Base

Andross has built some secret weapon and used it to destroy the base at Sector X. The team must find and destroy this secret weapon. This is the only level where all paths are available.
*Mission Accomplished (1): Shoot and go through all 4 gates and warp to Sector Z. *
*Mission Accomplished (2): Take out Spyborg before Slippy appears to go to Macbeth. **
*Mission Complete: Slowly take out Spyborg and get Slippy shot down to Titania. **

(*) If you came from Katina, Bill will help you with the warp.

(**) If you face the secret weapon with Slippy out, he'll appear right before the battle.

5. Titania
Level 5. The Search for Slippy

In order to rescue Slippy, you must use the Landmaster to navigate through the desert planet of Titania. After navigating through the desert, Fox rescued Slippy from one of Andross' bio-weapons and headed to Bolse. Even if Fox beat the Spyborg fast enough to save Slippy and ended up diverting here, the mission still focuses on searching for Slippy.

*Mission Accomplished: Save Slippy and take out Goras to go to Bolse.

6. Bolse
Level 6. The Last Hurrah

Fox had to destroy the Bolse Defense Outpost in order to reach Venom. After taking down the shield that was guarding the core and the Invader III fighters, Star Wolf appeared if they weren't defeated on Fichina. If they were, Fox just needed to shoot the many yellow spots on the massive enemy core and decimate the satellite.

*Mission Accomplished: Destroy the Bolse satellite core to go to the easy Venom path.

MEDIUM PATH
7. Katina
Level 3. Reunion

An assault is occurring on the central base on planet Katina. You must assist the Cornerian Army (led by Bill Grey) in defending the base. After desroying ten of the Invader II fighters, the enemy mothership appears to destroy the base. After the core appears, you have a short amount of time to dispose of it.

*Mission Complete: If the mothership's core is not destroyed in time and it destroys the base, Fox goes to Sector X.
*Mission Accomplished: If the mothership's core is destroyed in time and the mothership falls to the ground before exploding, Fox goes to Solar.

8. Solar
Level 4. Out of the Frying Pan...

Solar is a planet in the middle of the Lylat System. Fox's team was sent here by General Pepper to deal with one of Andross's bioweapons. If Fox came from Katina, Bill helps him in the beginning. Due to flying over the lava of the genesis state planet, the Arwings will take damage during the level. The amount and speed of the damage you recieve is determined by how close they fly to the plasma.

*Mission Accomplished: Take out Vulcain to go to Macbeth.

9. Macbeth
Level 5. The Forever Train

Macbeth is the closest planet to Venom. It appears as a mass-machinery planet. You must take out the base there. Your approach to the base is following a supply train called "The Forever Train" in the Landmaster, towards the end of the level you travel past 8 switches that open the lock on the train tracks, (If you came from Zoness, Katt shoots two for you) with Falco taking one off your hands.

*Mission Complete: Take out Mechbeth without shooting all 8 switches to get to Bolse.

*Mission Accomplished: Shoot all eight switches, the switcher, and then Mechbeth will explode at the enemy base to go to Area 6.

HARD PATH
10. Sector Y
Level 2. Fierce Melee

A battle is occurring in Sector Y. General Pepper asks Star Fox to take out the Venomian forces and help Corneria win it. Star Fox fought two Shogun Warriors and one piloted Shogun.

*Mission Complete: Get under 100 points to go to Katina.
*Mission Accomplished: Get 100 points or over to go to Aquas.

11. Aquas
Level 3. Terror of the Deep

This is the only level so far in the entire series where the Star Fox team uses the Blue Marine. Fox piloted the submarine to search and destroy the bio-weapon, Bacoon, beneath Aquas' seas.

*Mission Accomplished: Destroy the underwater bio-weapon to go to Zoness.

12. Zoness
Level 4. Invasion Aftermath

Andross's army had polluted Zoness's sea. Star Fox must find the leader and defeat him. You are assisted by Katt Monroe, who appeared to know Falco. After destroying the enemy tanker fleet, Fox does battle with the pirate-like boss, Sarumarine.

*Mission Complete: If you are spotted by any searchlight (including the ones beyond the base), the searchlights will go red-orange and you will face more enemies, Star Fox must also go to Macbeth.
*Mission Accomplished: If all searchlights are destroyed, there will be fewer enemies and Star Fox can go to Sector Z.

13. Sector Z
Level 5. The Ambush of Great Fox

While heading through Sector Z, the Venomian Army sent 6 missiles towards the Great Fox. If Star Fox came from Zoness, Katt appears and helps to destroy one. If any of the teammates are not being chased by enemies, they will also destroy one.

*Mission Complete: Let one of the missiles hit Great Fox to go to Bolse.
*Mission Accomplished: Destroy all 6 missiles to go to Area 6.
*During the stage, Fox's Arwing can be completely repaired, including wings, by flying into the back entrance of the Great Fox.
14. Area 6
Level 6. Through the Middle

This is the last outpost before Star Fox reached Venom. The Star Fox team flew straight through the middle of Andross' Defense Fleet. After making it through the 3 lines of defense, Fox destroyed the planet crusher Space station named Gorgon before flying on to Venom.

*Mission Accomplished: Destroy the planet crusher Gorgon to continue on to Venom

Final Stage: Venom
Venom Arriving From Bolse
Level 7. Battle with Andross

The Star Fox Team fought their way across the surface of Venom, through wave upon wave of enemy fighters. They flew through a temple, defeating a rock golem boss called Golemech, before reaching Andross' base. Fox continued on and plunged into the depths of the base, deep below the crust of Venom. At the end of a long tunnel, Fox fought Andross. Fox defeated him before fleeing the base as it begins to explode. However, it is revealed at the end of the credits that Fox only defeated an android form of Andross, and Andross' image is seen at the end laughing maniacally.

Venom Arriving From Area 6
Level 7. The Final Battle

The Star Fox team flew down directly over Andross' base. Before they could enter, however, an updated Star Wolf team arrives in their new ships, the Wolfen II. The Star Fox team was forced to fight them before they could proceed. Since the Wolfen II's were heavily upgraded, bombs and lock-on lasers had no effect. After Star Wolf had been shot down, Fox flew alone and plunged into the depths of the base deep below the crust of Venom.
Fox flew through a maze of tunnels and corridors before reaching Andross and fighting him. After destroying his disembodied hands and head, Andross's True Form was revealed to be a gigantic brain with bio-mechanical eyes. Moving into all-range mode, Fox destroyed the eyes and then the brain. As he dies, Andross self-destructed. Fox screamed at his impending doom, but, out of nowhere, the supposedly dead James McCloud appears to lead Fox out of the maze of tunnels. If Fox takes a wrong turn at any time, he runs into the fireball coming the other way and is destroyed. As they leave the base, James praises Fox's efforts before disappearing, leaving Fox to wonder if it really was his father or not.

Peace was restored to the Lylat System and General Pepper asks Star Fox if they want to join the Cornerian Army. Fox says they prefer to do things their own way, and return to the Great Fox. Pepper gives Fox a lot of money for defeating Andross and his forces (64 dollars for each Venomian unit destroyed).CitationNeeded

False ending: If Slippy is snatched during the Spyborg battle, if a single missile hits the Great Fox at Sector Z, or if the eight switches are not hit in time on Macbeth (so that only Mechbeth and not the train is destroyed), Star Fox will attack Venom through Bolse rather than Area 6. Arriving at Venom from Bolse, Fox will fight a golem and then face Andross at the core, revealing him to be a robotic, false version of Andross, which is destroyed while the real Andross survives. This is the non-canon ending, given Star Fox Adventures.

Gameplay
*Arwing - The player uses the Arwing for 13 of the 16 levels in the game, and much of the rest of the series. It can store and fire up to 9 Smart Bombs, and its lasers can be upgraded to twin and hyper. It can also perform special maneuvers such as somersaults, half-loops and the famous barrel roll. However, you will have to help your team mates in all the levels you use the Arwing in.

*Landmaster - You use the Landmaster to save Slippy in Titania, and to take out the base on Macbeth. You still have to save your teammates, but not as often. The Landmaster can fire bombs, but its lasers cannot be upgraded except in VS mode. Also, it cannot barrel roll, but instead rolls out of the way of attacks.

*Blue Marine - You use the Blue Marine on planet Aquas, since the Arwings cannot go underwater. It has unlimited lock-on torpedoes, its lasers can be upgraded to twin and hyper, and it is barrel roll capable, making the Blue Marine the most powerful of the three crafts. However, its controls are slightly sluggish due to being underwater.

*On Foot (Fox, Peppy, Slippy or Falco) - The Player can use them only in multiplayer ground-having stages, and only after unlocking them by earning a medal in each stage of the main game and gaining a medal on either side of Venom in Expert Mode. The controls consist of using the Control Stick to look around, holding R to run, pressing Z to jump, A for lasers, and B for bombs. You cannot charge up shots in On-Foot.

Medals and Expert Mode
In addition to the main goal to complete the stage, every stage also has a secondary goal in the form of a target number of kills. Once the player has gotten enough kills, as long as all his allies are still alive, his score will turn orange and he will be awarded a medal for that planet upon completion of the mission. If the player earns medals on every mission, he will have the option to play the main game in "Expert Mode."

Expert mode is notably more difficult than the normal game. More enemies will appear in certain places, some power-ups will be replaced by lesser power-ups or absent altogether, and the Arwing's wings will break from a single hit instead of the normal three, altogether making for a more challenging experience. Fox is also given a pair of sunglasses similar to his father's, but this is purely aesthetic and does not affect the gameplay.

Since Expert Mode is different from the main game, none of the medals previously awarded will appear on the missions. The player can re-earn all of the medals in Expert Mode, and upon doing so will be shown an alternate title screen, but no other rewards are known to be given.

In addition to playing the main game in Expert Mode, there is also an "Expert Mode" option for the sound settings. This mode is a sound test which allows the player to listen to tracks of music from the game.
Versus Mode
Simply called VS, the versus mode in Star Fox 64 is a rather simple one.

Game Modes
First, the players choose the Game Mode. There are three different Game Modes to choose from.

*Point Match: This is the basic mode, in which the player, who is the first one to shoot down the set number of other players, is the winner. The number of required kills can be set from one to five.

*Battle Royal: This is a very simple mode, in which each player has only one single life. The winner is the last man standing.

*Time Trial: This is a time-based mode, in which the players have a set number of time to shoot down enemies. However, if a player gets shot down by another player before the end of the match, his score resets back to zero. The player with the highest score at the end of the match is the winner. The time limit can be set from one to five minutes.

Characters
After choosing the Game Mode, the players choose their Handicap, which can be set from one (no Handicap) to three (significant Handicap). The higher the Handicap the shorter the [[Shield Gauge. The players also choose one out of four Characters, which is determined by the controller slot in which a player's controller is plugged into. The screen is also divided into four equal rectangles between the players. In two and three player games, the unoccupied fourths of the screen will display various camera angles of players. The camera also kicks in Battle Royal if there are more than 2 players left and a player is shot down. The fourth of a screen each player gets is also determined by the controller slot.

*Player having the controller in slot 1 is Fox McCloud and gets the upper left fourth of the screen.

*Player having the controller in slot 2 is Peppy Hare and gets the upper right fourth of the screen.

*Player having the controller in slot 3 is Slippy Toad and gets the lower left fourth of the screen.

*Player having the controller in slot 4 is Falco Lombardi and gets the lower right fourth of the screen.

The characters are in no way different from each other gameplay wise, so they only differ by their looks.

Stages
After choosing their characters, the players set the number of required kills if they are playing Point Match or time if they're playing Time Trial. There are no this kind of special options when playing Battle Royal. In the same window comes the Stage selection. There are a whopping three stages in Star Fox 64s Versus Mode. To make things even worse, there are only two stages to choose from per Game Mode. If you reach the edge of the Stage, you will warp to the other side.

*Corneria: This stage is available in Point Match and Battle Royal. There are only some pyramids and buildings on this otherwise simply flat stage. The players have no vehicle restrictions.

*Sector Z: This is stage is playable in every Game Mode. There is some space junk on this stage, but not much else. It highly resembles its Main Game's counterpart. Since the stage is situated in space, the Arwing is the only vehicle available here.

*Katina: This stage is inaccessible outside Time Trial. It is very much like Corneria, but has only one giant pyramid in the center of the stage, much like in the Main Game. The players have all the vehicle options available.

Vehicles
After choosing the stage, the battle is almost ready to start. The players now have five seconds to choose one of two vehicles or to not use one. If nothing is chosen within the five seconds, it will be randomized.

*Arwing: The player fights with an Arwing, which has an advantage over the other two options, for its flying capability and speed, which the other options more or less lack. The Arwing is chosen with the A Button.

*Landmaster: The player starts the battle with a Landmaster anti-aircraft tank, which can dodge by rolling as well as hover for small periods of time. The Landmaster is chosen with the B Button.

*On foot: The player has no vehicle at all and their character fights with only a huge blaster on their shoulder. The characters are also very slow without vehicles. The on foot option can be chosen by pressing the C up Button.

Power Ups
After the vehicles have been chosen or the five second time limit has passed, the battle starts. There are two different power ups available. They highly affect the outcome of a battle. Only one of each upgrade appears on a stage at a time.

*Laser: The Laser of your character gets its firepower doubled. The player with this has a serious advantage over other players.

*Smart Bomb: The Smart Bomb is a one use, enormous damage causing bomb. Lock onto another player and use the homing feature guide the bomb into its target to cause some serious damage.

Reception
Star Fox 64 received critical acclaim and was one of the top-selling games of 1997, second only to Mario Kart 64. In the first five days of the game's U.S. launch, over 300,000 copies were sold, surpassing the record previously held by Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64. Sales were considerably less in Japan, where it sold 75,595 copies during the first week of sale. The game also took the #73 spot in Nintendo Power's "Top 200 Nintendo Games Ever". GameSpot declared Star Fox 64 "an instant classic" and was impressed by the voice acting. Glenn Rubenstein, the reviewer, noted that the game is "a pleasure to look at" and liked the cinematic quality of the storyline. Although other reviewers such as IGN said that the game is "extremely repetitive" and that the music quality was not as good as the original Star Fox, they still praised the branching system and "intelligently designed levels" which compensate for those points.

The Gamespot review of the Wii Virtual Console version of the game paints a similar picture. It earns a (8.3/10), praising for simple, enjoyable shooting gameplay, lots of voice-acting, nice to look at despite its graphic age and the added replay value in finding hidden paths, but found the lack of rumble support "alarming", especially since it was the first game to support the 64's Rumble Pak.

Star Fox 64 is listed as the 45th greatest game of all time by Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition in 2009.

References to other works
*The Katina level is homage to the movie Independence Day. Bill Grey's name is likely homage to that of a character in the film. Slippy's reaction to the Bolse Fighters being shielded and the ending musical score for Star Fox are also homage to the film.

*The Sector Y level has many armies of mechs similar to many of the mobile suits from the anime franchise Mobile Suit Gundam, for their beam rifles, shields and mobility. They can even be launched out from battleships in battle. One red-colored mech is said by Peppy to be very quick. This is a reference to Char Aznable because all of his mobile suits are red and have high mobility (hence his name, "The Red Comet"). Not only that, the boss however aside from the first two colored mechs is known to be white and launched from its own launch ship is a homage and resemblance to the RX-78-2 Gundam which is also from the same series.
The Black Rose, a modified Wolfen, is Panther's personal starfighter in Star Fox Command. Its design and appearance somewhat resemble the Wolfen II used in the Lylat Wars. It is somewhat slower than the other Wolfen designs. Its main weapon is the Zapper, a slow-firing yet powerful weapon that discharges a blue electric ray able to vaporize almost any starfighter. It is lackluster in shields and Smart Bombs it can store. On the flipside, its high boost meter can make up for these.
Wolfen is the primary vehicle of the Star Wolf Team. The Wolfen is technologically equivalent to the Arwing in terms of power, however in Star Fox 64 in the harder version of Venom, Star Wolf has improved their Wolfens to be stronger and deal more damage.

Variations
Sometime following Star Fox: Assault, each member of Star Wolf Team upgraded their Wolfen to suit their own preferences. All the members of the Star Wolf had their own ships as did Star Fox.

Wolf kept the traditional Wolfen (Except in Japan, Wolf's Wolfen was called the Red Fang). Leon converted his into the Rainbow Delta, which gained a wave-beam function enabling continuous charged shots to be fired. Panther converted his into the Black Rose, which could fire a slow but powerful and long-range beam known as a Zapper.

In Super Smash Bros. Series
Super Smash Bros. Melee
The Wolfen appears in the Corneria stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It occasionally fires lasers at the characters on screen, the Wolfen doesn't target any character in particular. Once it has stopped firing, the Wolfen will then fly off the screen after a few seconds. If a character remains on it when it flies off the screen, that character will receive a Star KO. The Wolfen appears as a Trophy in the game. The Wolfen also appears in the opening movie along with the Arwing.
Its also notable that the Wolfen appears slightly different than the Star Fox: Assault version, where its wings are spread farther apart.
The Sky Claw is a modified Arwing and Falco Lombardi's personal starfighter. It was the most altered of the Arwings in appearance. The Sky Claw has similar stats to the Arwing II, but it has very high speed and maneuverability, it is sleeker, and has broader wings with claw-like tips, which are directed forward rather than the traditional swept-wing design for most starfighters. It is armed with a Single Laser like the Arwing II, however, it only has one Smart Bomb for the payload and a Multi-Lock. Despite the limitation of armaments, it proves to be a very formidable ship. Its sole weakness is its low shield capacity, but this is somewhat compensated by its high Boost/Brake/Roll fuel. In one of the many endings of Star Fox Command, Falco creates his own team made of up of Katt Monroe, Dash Bowman, and himself. The three all fly Sky Claws with personal colorations.
The Arwing is the Star Fox team's primary space and air vehicle. It has had many different incarnations. In Star Fox Command, each pilot, aside from Peppy Hare and James McCloud, had unique styles of Arwings. It was developed by Space Dynamics Co. and comes equipped with revolutionary G-Diffuser technology for power and antigravity purposes. Performing a barrel roll puts up an electromagnetic shield to deflect most optical weaponry.

Canon
Original Arwing
Used by the original Star Fox team of James McCloud, Peppy Hare and Pigma Dengar, the single-seated Arwing featured four advanced G-Diffuser on board engines as large blue structures atop and underneath each wing. A single-beam laser cannon (which could double as a Smart Bomb launcher) was located underneath the nose. Twin and Hyper laser upgrades instead utilized a pair of more powerful laser cannons between the G-Diffuser, with one just below each wing. The rear of the ship housed the engine exhaust, which would change color with the environment -- red for in-atmosphere, and blue for space operations. It was the most advanced ship of its time, years ahead of any other fighter in Lylat.

The original Star Fox team flew these ships to Venom to investigate the upsurge of activity by exiled scientist, Dr. Andross. Upon arrival, Pigma defected to Andross's side. James' Arwing was shot down, seemingly killing its pilot. However, despite massive damage and the loss of an entire wing, Peppy Hare's Arwing survived the attack, and Peppy was able to fly the nearly destroyed fighter all the way back to Corneria- A testament to the ship's durability.

It was also used by Fox McCloud and his team to save Lylat from Andross's sudden attack during the Lylat Wars.

Arwings over Sauria
Due to the lack of funds in the possession of the Star Fox team during the General Scales's attack on Sauria, the Arwings owned by the Star Fox team were in serious disrepair. Even an ace pilot would have trouble keeping the ship together, due to the modifications made by Slippy Toad; these included the stripping of the targeting computers in exchange for hard currency, as well as the bomb magazines restricted to only one at a time, and the charge ablility was taken away. Although the navigational computer was still in working order, the Arwing's engines suffered somewhat, making the ship harder to control, but that could be attributed to the fact that the nose had been elongated to allow for cargo space. The installation of landing gear was another asset, due to the fact that Arwings would have had to work independently from Great Fox for elongated periods of time. To provide remote assistance ROB 64 would transmit Fuel Cells to power the Arwing, but these were commonly scattered about, leaving the team to search for them in unorthodox places. It was this stripped down, aging ship that was responsible for the final defeat of Andross. Even though the Arwin is used in Star Fox Adventures, it is less used than in any other game.

New Ships for a New Enemy
After the Star Fox team was paid handsomely for their action during the Saurian crisis, they opted to upgrade their weapons, armor, their mothership, the Great Fox and their Arwings. These new, feather-like ships boasted four G-diffusers which allowed for the ship to come to a complete stop, as well as make more advanced maneuvers repeatedly, such as loops and Immelmann turns. The ships however have no bombs present on board, but can equip them in flight, so as to keep the weight down. The flexible wings on the sides allow for easy transition from flight mode to all-range mode, and come equipped with a transponder to allow for these ships to be transmitted to the surface of a planet, similar to the upgraded Landmaster. These ships saw the team through the Aparoid invasion, performing remarkably through the perils of this brutal war.

A New Crisis
Following the Aparoid invasion, the Star Fox Team was outfitted with new ships. All pilots picked one for themselves. Fox acquired the Arwing II, a ship resembling the Arwing in Lylat Wars. Slippy had the Bullfrog, a bigger ship. It has a thick nose with small wings. It is slow and difficult to maneuver, but makes up for this with it's ability to use plasma cannons, the strongest primary weapon available. Unfortunately, the Bullfrog's cannons lack the ability to charge and lock on to enemies. Falco had the Sky Claw. This ship resembled the Arwing II, but with wings directed forward, more round-shaped and with claws on the end. It has a pointed nose. Though it is equipped with the simple single laser, it is the fastest and most maneuverable ship in existence and has the ability to perform multiple somersaults and Immelmann turns. It also has the ability to lock on multiple enemies when charging its laser. Krystal, because of her leaving from the Star Fox Team, flew a Cornerian Starfighter, but in some of the possible pathways of the game, she is seen to own a new ship - the Cloud Runner. There, the design of the Arwing almost completely disappeared to resemble the CloudRunner tribe from Star Fox Adventures. Also, both Peppy Hare and James McCloud, playable in two of the game's storylines, fly the original Arwing, which resembles the ones seen in the during the fight against the Aparoids.
After the battles against the Aparoids, Fox upgraded his Arwing to an improved version known as the Arwing II. This variation of the Arwing was reminiscent of the original, but was far more maneuverable and had better fire power. Unlike earlier models, it could only carry up to two Smart Bombs compared to previous incarnations.
In Super Smash Bros.
In Super Smash Bros. Fox used the Arwing to enter the stage. Arwings are also seen blasting at the fighters in the Sector Z stage. They can be used as temporary platforms.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, the Arwing appeared as a trophy along with the Wolfen. They and the Wolfen are also seen blasting at the fighters in the Corneria and Venom Stages. They too can be ridden as platforms.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it appeared as a trophy and was used for Fox's entrance. They also appear in the background of Lylat Cruise in the asteroid belt and the Star Fox Vs. Star Wolf part of the stage. In the Subspace Emissary, Fox used it to attack the Battleship Halberd twice, but it was destroyed in both tries. The first time by a claw on the Halberd, the second time by Sheik. Falco also used it to arrive in the nick of time to save Fox and Diddy Kong from Bowser and his Dark Cannon. Fox later has his Arwing repaired and attacks the Subspace Gunship along with other ships from different Nintendo series.

The Star Fox team is a rag-tag team of independent, space mercenaries and the main protagonists of the Star Fox series. This team is often hired by the Cornerian military whenever the authorities believed they need their specialized assistance in saving the planet and rest of the Lylat System from various invaders, most notably the maniacal scientist Andross.

The team is currently led by Fox McCloud. It has consisted of several different members throughout its history, and was founded and originally led by James McCloud, Fox's father. The team usually uses an assortment of vehicles and weapons to accomplish their missions, most notably the space-fighter vehicles known as Arwings. In the current canon, a large battleship called the Great Fox serves as the team's base of operations. Since the Great Fox is continuously mobile in the confines of outer-space, Star Fox's headquarters can be moved anywhere in the Lylat System, although the Great Fox often orbits around Corneria.

The Star Fox team is often rivaled by their nemesis, the Star Wolf team.

History
Star Fox is a group of space mercenaries whom originally consisted of three founding members: James McCloud, Peppy Hare, and Pigma Dengar. All three founding members are from the planet Corneria, and apparently they all had some military training before the formation of the group. This group was apparently founded and led by James McCloud. The origins of Star Fox's foundation is currently unknown, although at some point in the original team's life Star Fox was called on a mission by General Pepper of the Cornerian army to go investigate some odd activity on planet Venom. Five years prior to this mission, General Pepper had exiled to Venom a rogue Cornerian scientist called Andross, whom was accused of corrupting the Lylat System's environments due to his dangerous experiments.

When Star Fox team reached Venom, Dengar managed to betray his team, and apparently was cause for the capture of both McCloud and Hare by Andross. Hare eventually, but barely, managed to escape Venom, apparently returning to Corneria with sad news to McCloud's family, especially to his only son Fox, that James McCloud was killed-in-action. It was never made clear was really happened on Venom that day though.

Some number of years have passed since the last mission on Venom, during which Fox McCloud had received some military training of his own before eventually reforming his father's legacy which is the Star Fox team. McCloud had invited members such as his academic colleague Slippy Toad, his mentor and surviving member Pepper Hare, and a relatively new friend young McCloud made called Falco Lombardi, a space-gangster who had rehabilitated to become an ace space pilot. Some time after the new Star Fox team was formed, General Pepper called upon them to assist the Cornerian army with a surprise invasion originating from Venom. Andross was quickly suspected to be behind this new invasion, and so the Star Fox team was dispatched to go on a mission and destroy the Core Brain on planet Venom.

The Star Fox team had went through several locations and sub-missions throughout the Lylat System before finally reaching Venom. They had assistance from allies such as Bill Gray and Katt Monroe, and occasionally had to face their rivals Star Wolf before they got there. It later turns out that Andross is the Core Brain, but regardless McCloud manages to destroy Andross, risking his life in the process, but strangely saved by a mysterious apparition of his father. Star Fox team return to Corneria victorious. (See Star Fox, Star Fox 64, and/or Star Fox 64 3D for more details. Also check the Lylat Wars article.)
The Cornerian Army is one of the main military forces of Corneria, used to patrol and protect the Lylat System from any and all threats. Squadrons of these soldiers have been dispatched to various areas of the Lylat System to keep the peace.
In Star Fox 64, the Army is quickly overpowered by the unexpected invasion from the until then unheard of Venomian Army. The Cornerian Army, during that time, had control over Corneria, Sector Y, Katina and Fichina, and they usually managed to endure until Star Fox came to the rescue.

During the time of Star Fox: Assault, the Cornerian Army is able to hold it's own fighting rebelling forces, giving Star Fox time to go in after Andrew Oikonny. It is assumed that they, like the Cornerian Defense Force, were severely beaten trying to stop the sudden invasion of the powerful Aparoids. The Cornerian Army base on Katina was among the first victims of the Aparoid invasion.

General Pepper retired and turned his job over to Peppy Hare by the time of Star Fox Command, in which the army must again try to defend Lylat from a quick invasion from a powerful enemy, in this case, the Anglars. Several members of the Cornerian Army are playable in this game, including Bill Grey and Dash Bowman. Also, in this game, Krystal joins the Cornerian Army before defecting to Star Wolf. She takes her fighter with her, although she paints it pink. It is identical to Bill's ship.
The Blue Marine is the Star Fox team's Marine-Battle and Transportation Vehicle. It was developed for recreational use by Slippy Toad, though he modified it for battle when Fox McCloud told him they were going to need it for a mission on Aquas. The Blue Marine's defense systems are similar to Arwing's in that it uses the same laser and barrel roll technology. The submarine was not made for such deep and dark seas and Fox was forced to use special Light Torpedoes to give him temporary sight in the dark oceans of Aquas. The Star Fox team has so far only been seen using the Blue Marine once, during Fox's mission to destroy Andross's bioweapon, Bacoon, during the Lylat War. The current status of the Blue Marine is unknown as the Star Fox team would likely keep it in their mothership, the Great Fox, which was destroyed during the invasion of the Aparoid Homeworld. Though, in Star Fox Command, all air fighters were able to successfully manuever in the missions on Aquas, possibly rendering the Blue Marine obsolete even if it had survived, although the events in Command fall into questionable canonity.
The original team consisted of Wolf O'Donnell, Leon Powalski, Andrew Oikonny, and Pigma Dengar. However in Star Fox: Assault, Andrew left Star Wolf to avenge Andross and Pigma was expelled because of his greediness. Wolf later replaced Andrew and Pigma with Panther Caroso.
Wolf O'Donnell, is the leader of the Star Wolf team and rival of Fox McCloud. Wolf's team was initially hired by Andross to take down the Star Fox team. The Star Wolf team ultimately fails their mission, causing Wolf to seek revenge for his own personal reasons. Years later, in Star Fox: Assault, Wolf planned on taking down the Star Fox team once more, but the later invasion of the Aparoids caused him to come to Fox's rescue. Even so, he claims the only reason he did was so that he could kill Fox off himself later. He helped Fox during some scenarios of Star Fox Command, where he stated that he feels a grudging respect towards Fox.

Wolf O'Donnell is also a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, alongside Fox McCloud and Falco Lombardi. He fights similarly to them, but is heavier and slower, using slashing attacks with his claws instead of mostly utilizing kicks like Fox and Falco.

Wolf is voiced by Hisao Egawa in the Japanese version of Star Fox 64 and Mahito Ōba in the Japanese version of Star Fox: Assault and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In the English version of Star Fox 64, he is voiced by Rick May. In the English version of Star Fox: Assault, he is voiced by Grant Goodeve. In Super Smash Bros.
Leon Powalski is the only original member other than Wolf himself to have stayed with Star Wolf since Star Fox 64. Leon is a dangerous enemy, whose secretive nature is emulated in being very cold, calculating, and cunning. He has had some past rivalry with Star Fox member Falco Lombardi, whom he mainly concentrates his fire on in Star Fox 64 and bickers with in Star Fox: Assault. In Star Fox 64, although he speaks with an eloquent and classy manner, he obsesses with the idea of mercilessly torturing his prey and inflicting pain as his specialty.

Leon is voiced by Shinobu Satouchi who also voices Fox McCloud in the Japanese version of Star Fox 64. In the English version of Star Fox 64 he is voiced by Rick May. In the English version of Star Fox: Assault, he and Panther are both voiced by David Scully. In the English version of Super Smash Bros. ====Panther Caroso====
Panther Caroso

Panther Caroso made his first appearance as the newest member of Star Wolf in Star Fox: Assault. His signature symbol is a red rose and is quite conceited, often embarrassing those around him. He is also quite a flirt, considering himself a ladies' man. In Star Fox: Assault he attempts to flirt with Krystal several times, but she either ignores or rejects him depending on the circumstances. Panther appears again in Star Fox Command, where he attempted to begin a relationship with Krystal after she joins the Star Wolf team following her break-up with Fox.

Panther is voiced in the Japanese version of Star Fox: Assault and Super Smash Bros. Brawl by Tetsu Inada, while his English voice actor in Star Fox: Assault is David Scully. The English version of Star Fox: Command has Panther speaking in the third person. In the game, he is known as Panther Caruso (not Caroso) and the bounty put on his head by Corneria is double that of Leon's, showing his undeniable skill.
Andrew Oikonny

Andrew Oikonny is the nephew of the evil Andross. He is an inexperienced pilot who only flies to try and follow in Andross's footsteps. Sometime after Andross was defeated, Oikonny left Star Wolf, and planned to avenge his uncle's death. In Star Fox: Assault, Oikonny gathered Andross's remaining troops and formed a rebellion against the Cornerian Defense Force. The Star Fox team tracked him down to the planet Fortuna, where his ship turned into a large likeness of himself, strongly resembling Andross' form. During the battle, Oikonny is unexpectedly shot down by an Aparoid. He returns once again in Star Fox Command, where he joins the Anglars and pilots the Death Crab, confronting Star Fox in Fichina City.

In the Japanese version of Star Fox 64, he is voiced by Daisuke Sakaguchi. In the Japanese version of Star Fox: Assault, he is voiced by Yūsuke Numata. In the English version of Star Fox 64, he is voiced by Bill Johns. In the English version of Star Fox: Assault, he is voiced by John Hugill.
Pigma Dengar

Pigma Dengar is one of the original members of the Star Fox team, and after he betrayed James McCloud and Peppy Hare to Andross, he joined Star Wolf. He is an exceptionally greedy pirate who does not care who he hurts so long as he ends up with a large paycheck in the end. When fighting Star Fox in Star Fox 64, Pigma focuses on Peppy because they were once teammates. Wolf later expels Pigma from Star Wolf due to his incredible greed and distrustful nature.
During the invasion of the Aparoids, Pigma attempted to use the Aparoids for his own personal gain, but he was ultimately assimilated into their collective hive-mind and his body became fused with a large, rock-grabbing spacecraft in the Asteroid Belt. His spirit continued to live on in the form of a cube-shaped puzzle box cyborg after his body was destroyed. He serves as a boss in Star Fox Command; whether the player encounters him or not depends on certain decisions made during the game.

Pigma is voiced by Daisuke Gōri in the Japanese version of Star Fox 64 and Star Fox: Assault. In the English version of Star Fox 64, he is voiced by David Frederick White. In the English version of Star Fox: Assault, he is voiced by Lev Liberman.

Technology and equipment
The technology and equipment used by members of Star Wolf is very similar to that of the Star Fox team, although it is sometimes depicted as more advanced.

The team primarily uses the Wolfen as means of transportation and starfighting. Its statistics rival that of the Arwing's. In all games, the Star Wolf team is fought in their Wolfens, and in Star Fox Command, the Wolfens used are customized personal craft.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wolf uses a Landmaster of his own, and it is given the title "Wolfen Landmaster" in-game. The trophy for the vehicle indicates that Wolf stole schematics for the Star Fox team's Landmaster and used them to make his own, more powerful version. With upgrades comes greater use of fuel, so Wolf's Landmaster only lasts a few seconds on stage. It is unknown whether or not these will be used in a future Star Fox game.
Katt Monroe is a supporting female character from the Star Fox series. She is an anthropomorphic cat with grey and mildly-white fur (although was originally pink and white in color). She made her official debut appearance in Star Fox 64. It is widely believed that Katt Monroe is a reincarnation of Miyu from the canceled game Star Fox 2.

Monroe originally hails from planet Zoness. She pilots a ship of her own known as the Cat's Paw. She first appeared as an ally in Star Fox 64 when Star Fox team attempted to rescue planet Zoness from its invaders, and she also assisted them on either Macbeth or Sector Z depending on whether they passed through Zoness or not. Katt's next appearance in Star Fox Command is a subject of controversy in the fan community due to her drastic redesign.

It seems apparent that Katt has known Falco Lombardi long before his joining of the Star Fox team, and it was strongly evidenced in the Star Fox: Farewell, Beloved Falco promotional comic. It is no secret that Katt has often hinted at her romantic emotions towards Falco He never mutually shared such emotions towards her however, and often scoffed at the idea. Star Fox Command stated that Katt has a desire to join the Star Fox team so that she could be around Falco more often. At the end of the game, General Pepper told Fox that Tricky said hello.

Reunion with Star Fox
Tricky is next seen one year later during the Aparoid invasion. Krystal had picked up telepathic distress signal from Sauria and Fox immediately had his team fly to the planet. After Fox and Krystal had mostly cleared the area of Aparoids, they managed to find Tricky, who had grown exponentially over the year. Tricky was giving the two a ride when he asked if he could go with them. Fox said no and that it was up to Tricky to defend Sauria. Tricky agrees and said that the two could come back on their honeymoon when this was all over, catching Fox off guard. Fox stuttered for a while before telling Tricky he was too young for the conversation and Tricky told him not to treat him like a kid. At this point, Krystal was forced to break up the fight.
When all was said and done, Dash asked the two to leave him on Venom so that he could complete his grandfather's last wish and make Venom a beautiful place. After some time, immigrants came to Venom and it began to rival even Corneria in terms of advancements. Many years after the fall of the Anglar, Dash made the fateful decision to claim Venom as the center of Lylat power and soon, the Lylat system was plunged into war.
Fox and Krystal
This story occurs if Krystal accepts Fox's apology on Katina.

While not all that relevant to the story, Dash is once again mentioned in this ending of Star Fox Command. He was shown beginning another empire on the reborn Venom, though it is unknown what he planned to do with this empire.

Pigma's Revenge
This story occurs if Falco does not listen to the advice of ROB 64 while in the Asteroid Belt.

Once again appearing only in the ending, Dash was enlisted by Falco as a member of his mercenary team, Star Falco. This is ironic considering Falco's harassment and dislike of him in another storyline.
Lucy first appeared in the Star Fox series in a transmission to her father that was intercepted by Fox, Slippy, and ROB 64. She later appeared after the team had arrived and rescued her at the Fichina base. She had learned that the leader of the Anglar attack on Fichina was Andrew Oikonny and asked Fox if she could help in the fight to which he agreed.
After Oikonny's defeat, Lucy grilled Fox on his break up with Krystal and unintentionally forced him to admit it was stupid idea. She then decided that she was going to head for Corneria to help her father.
The two pilots headed down to the planet below and managed to clear Corneria City of the Anglar. When she finally found Peppy, he told her that he had to hurry away and find Fox and tell him important information. Lucy asked to go with him but Peppy refused and said he was going to the dangerous planet, Titania.
At the same time, Lucy was sent a transmission from Krystal saying that she, Katt Monroe, and Amanda had arrived to help. The combined power of the four women decimated the Anglar forces and even a massive battleship that had left destruction in its wake. Lucy thanked the others and was glad to see Krystal and meet Katt and Amanda. The four then got a message from Peppy stating that they had defeated the rest of the Anglar at their base and were coming home. Lucy, Krystal, Katt, and Amanda plan a party for the heroes when they come home. During the party, Lucy and Peppy left to talk about the memories of Vivian Hare, the mother and wife that they had lost to sickness long ago, until the morning light.
Early History
Following the defeat of the Anglar, Fox and the rest of Star Fox vote to disband the squadron following, with Fox, immediately upon destroying the Anglars, departing the Great Fox II forever and meeting Krystal again on Sauria, intending to re-build the relationship he ended due to Fox forcing Krystal to leave the team due to his fears for her safety. Krystal accepted Fox's advances, and they soon married and settled down to a quiet life. The rest of the Star Fox team went their own ways as well.

At some point, Fox and Krystal had Marcus. In terms of appearance, Marcus physically appears much like his father, and inherits his strong sense of leadership, though inherits his mother's blue fur & eyes. Marcus was raised by his parents, and they enjoy a happy life together.

When he was old enough, Marcus enrolled in the Cornerian Flight Academy, intending to follow in his father's footsteps. Marcus soon proved that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree during his training. His flying skill, a gift passed down through his family, was considered unbelievable.

Upon graduation, Marcus, continuing to follow this parents' footsteps, went into freelance work, intending to re-form the elite Star Fox squadron. Peppy Hare was one of the members of the original Star Fox team. He and James McCloud were betrayed by fellow member, Pigma Dengar. James did not escape alive, but Peppy did and gave the news of his death to his son, Fox McCloud. Fox eventually formed a new Star Fox team that Peppy joined. He served by giving useful information to his allies and a capable pilot. Eventually he retired and became a general in the Cornerian Defense Force, succeeding General Pepper. He has a wife, Vivian Hare (deceased) and a daughter, Lucy Hare.
Peppy appears as a gray haired rabbit with noticeable buckteeth. His general appearance hasn't changed much over the years, but age has caused him to appear slightly older, as he has gained glasses and his ears began to droop. He also gained a bushier moustache and bushier eyebrows.
Spoiler

Early History
Peppy Hare was a member of the original Star Fox led by James McCloud. General Pepper had sent them to the planet Venom to quiet down possible threats from the exiled Dr. Andross. When the team reached there, it was found that the third member of the team, Pigma Dengar, was a traitor on Andross's payroll. James and Peppy were imprisoned, but managed to escape. Though Peppy was successful in escaping, he did so with numerous injuries and James forced him to leave alone and was supposedly killed by Andross. Peppy barely limped home to tell James's son, Fox, of his father's fate. When Fox was old enough, he took up his father's role as leader of the Star Fox team and Peppy, with Fox's friends Slippy Toad and Falco Lombardi joined the new team.

Reconciliation
The new Star Fox team was truly tested when Andross declared war on the Lylat System. Pepper once again called on the team to fight of Andross armies. Peppy and his teammates made their way to Corneria, but found the planet's capital in ruins. The team crossed through the capital to battle one of Andross's two lieutenants stationed on Corneria. Depending on the lieutenant they faced, Peppy and the rest of Star Fox went to the Meteo Asteroid Belt or Sector Y.

Peppy was finally given the chance to avenge his fallen leader when the team crossed skies with Star Wolf on Fichina. Star Wolf was a mercenary team like Star Fox, though was less bound by morals and led by Wolf O'Donnell. They had been hired by Andross, but what caught Peppy's eye was that the traitorous Pigma was on the team. The two battled it out and Pigma was defeated. The Star Fox team made their way through several more planets before finally arriving at their final destination, the planet Venom. Once again, they were attacked by Star Wolf, who now had more advanced ships but were once again defeated by Star Fox. Peppy had no part in the final battle against Andross as Fox had decided to go it alone. Peppy was next seen accepting the reward for Star Fox with his teammates and then left when ROB 64 called Fox that the team's mothership, the Great Fox, was ready to leave.

Master of Maps
For eight years, the Star Fox team failed to gain a job that had any significant pay. One day, General Pepper sent a message to the team asking for help on the planet Sauria. He stated that the planet was literally falling apart and the Star Fox team agreed to help. Fox was forced to go it alone on the planet surface, but Peppy gave Fox help in providing maps and advice on areas through Fox's communicator. When Fox first laid eyes upon Krystal, Peppy snapped him out of his daze and later advised Fox that the King EarthWalker might know the reason for the planet not being reunited at the placement of the SpellStones. Later, after Andross's final defeat, Peppy remembered that he had recieved a message from Krystal thanking Fox. When she arrived on the ship, Peppy was the only one not to poke fun at Fox for his obvious attraction to Krystal.

Supposed Retirement
With a new member found in Krystal, Peppy decided that it was time for retirement from piloting. He stayed with his team though, and acted as the team's strategist and the Great Fox's pilot. Under the orders of General Pepper, he and the rest of the team flew into the space above Fortuna to fight the remainder of Andross's army led by the Andross's nephew, Oikonny. He launched the team's Arwings and, when they chased Oikonny to the planet's surface, advised them that they could never tell what a cornered beast might do. When Oikonny's ship was destroyed by an Aparoid, Peppy recognized it immediately and commanded Fox to retrieve its Core Memory when the creature was destroyed.

After General Pepper and Beltino Toad told the team of the Aparoid menace, they responded to distress siganl emanating from an outpost on Katina. Fox went on foot and Peppy sent him a Landmaster tank to help the situation. After Fox had defeated several Aparoids, Aparoid Hatchers began to appear and Peppy warned Fox that they could spawn more Aparoids. A gargantuan Aparoid appeared after the destruction of all hatchers, but when Peppy told Fox to retrieve the Core Memory after its defeat, Pigma appeared from within the base and stole the core. Peppy called the team back and followed Pigma to the Sargasso Space Hideout. Peppy cursed Pigma for going to such a haven of foul enemies and commanded the team to take control of the hideout. When the leaders of the hideout were revealed to the Star Wolf team, Peppy told Fox that there was no choice but to fight them and the team learned that Pigma was on Fichina.

Peppy told the team that, though Fichina was usually covered in a perpetual blizzard, a climate control center made it habitable. He then told them that Pigma had shut down the center and the blizzard had started up again. Peppy sent Fox down to the surface in a Landmaster and told him to destroy the generators of the device's defense shield. After Fox was saved by Falco after being ambushed in the base, Peppy sent him an Arwing. Peppy told the team that the Aparoids had infected the device and that Fox would have to blast it to prevent it from exploding. Falco was surprised at the Aparoids being able to control machines and Peppy responded by saying that those with weak wills are easily possessed, something that reminds Fox of his father. The team then followed Pigma to the Asteroid Belt where they found that Pigma was building a base, something that Peppy was unsurprised by. Though even he was surprised when Pigma was fused into a giant Aparoid weapon. Peppy told Fox to dodge devestating laser Pigma now used and the machine was soon destroyed. Fox retrieved the Core Memory and sent it to General Pepper, who told them it was time to go to the Aparoid Homeworld. Before doing so, Krystal recieved a telepathic message from Sauria and Peppy flew the Great Fox there to aid the Saurians. Peppy monitored the fight in the skies with Slippy and Falco while Krystal and Fox fought on the ground.

When the team heard that Corneria had been invaded and the army decimated, Peppy forced the team to head there immediately. He commanded Fox to take out a series of radar jammers so that the team could easily target enemies. Peppy sent Fox an Arwing when the jammers were destroyed, but the Aparoids destroyed the Arwing and Fox was saved by Wolf. Peppy noticed the general's flagship on the horizon, but the general was infected by Aparoids. Peppy believed that Fox could end the battle by destroying only the machine parts and when the ship fell, Peppy flew in an Arwing underneath the general to catch him before the ship hit the ground, greatly injuring himself so that even he wasn't sure he'd survive. With Pepper incapacitated, Peppy led the invasion to the Aparoid Homeworld. Before they left, the gateway they were using to warp there was attacked by Aparoids, but they were quickly expelled.

Peppy led the Corneria forces to the homeworld and sent Fox and Krystal to floating city above the entrance to the lair of the Aparoid Queen. Peppy told Fox that they were losing the fight fast and that they had already lost twenty percent of the fleet after Fox had destroyed just one Aparoid Hatcher. After all the hatchers were destroyed and another shield had formed over the tunnel, Peppy appeared in the skies above the city with the Great Fox consumed almost entirely by Aparoids. ROB told Peppy that the ship would not take anymore damage and Peppy told them that it didn't matter. He destroyed the city with the Great Fox's lasers and told the team that he had to crash the ship into the shield. Peppy flew the ship into the shield and the team flew through the broken shield.

After the Aparoid Homeworld was destroyed, it was revealed that Peppy and ROB had used the bridge of the Great Fox as an escape pod and survived. He promised that he was going to finally retire and asked Fox where they would go now.

The New General
When General Pepper grew ill two years later, he decided to pass on his role to Peppy. Peppy was one of the only two Star Fox members to find happiness after the break up, and the only one to have not left due to Fox's conflict with Krystal.
He suggested that Fox ask Krystal's forgiveness. When Slippy revealed his fiancee to Peppy, he was originally skeptical<ref>{{quote

Father and Daughter
This story occurs if ROB 64 goes with Lucy to aid Peppy on Corneria.
Peppy was reunited with his daughter Lucy, who had gone to Corneria to find him. The reunion was short lived as Peppy immediately flew off to find Fox.

The Ultimate Weapon
This story occurs if Fox decides to seek Wolf's help after fighting on Corneria.
Peppy sent Fox a message asking for help on Titania. He told Fox that a pilot had been dispatched to the planet, but had not been heard from.

Goodbye, Fox
This story occurs if ROB goes with Peppy to Titania.

After Peppy left Corneria, he met up with Fox, Falco, and Slippy on Titania and remarked that the old team was back together. There, they fought one of Andross's bioweapons controlled by a hologram claiming to be the ghost of Andross. When the bioweapon was destroyed, Peppy made the remark that he had thought he was done with Andross and claimed a machine that would neutralize the acidity of the Venom Sea. The team flew to Venom where Fox revealed that he was going to quit and find Krystal after this mission. Peppy agreed with him and the team flew into the sea and destroyed the Anglar forces. He then voted to disband the team.

The Anglar Emperor
This story occurs if ROB goes with Fox and Slippy to Aquas after defeating Oikonny.

After Fox had reunited with Krystal and she forgave him, Peppy sent them a message asking for help in the Asteroid Belt. He said that they were being chased by the remains of the Anglar army. After their defeat, Peppy congratulated the team.
Lucy and Krystal
This story occurs if ROB stays on Corneria with Lucy.

Peppy contacted Lucy, Krystal, Katt Monroe, and Amanda saying that they had defeated the Anglar. When he got back, the four women surprised the team with a party. At some point during the night, he left the party with his daughter to talk about Vivian, Peppy's wife who died some time after the Lylat War.

James McCloud is credited to have been the first leader of the Star Fox Team, which was formed in response to the initial threat against Corneria posed by Andross. While on a mission against Andross, James McCloud fell into a black hole after a bomb experiment "failure". Andross, who was a scientist of Corneria then, created this bomb, secretly planning for it to detonate when James McCloud reached critical velocity, thus sending him into a black hole. Pigma was also involved in this plan, and helped with assuring the death of James McCloud.

Manifestations
Many years later, when Fox had finally completed James's final mission, Andross had triggered his lab's self destruct. Some manifestation of James appeared and guided Fox out of the lab before it was destroyed. James disappeared when Fox had made it out of the lab entrance. While Fox headed back to the Great Fox, a spark crossed the sky, possibly signifying that James was actually alive.

Eight years later, Fox obtained a message from James when he deposited a Cheat Token in the maze beneath the WarpStone. During the fight against the Aparoid Queen, the Queen used James's voice in an attempt to turn Fox to her side. Falco snapped him out of it when he reminded Fox that his father was dead, but the Queen continued to use his voice to trick the team.

Dash Makes a Decision
This story occurs if Wolf leaves Fox and Falco before they go to Titania.
AmbiguousCanon
James appeared halfway through the invasion of the Venom Sea by Fox, Falco, and Dash Bowman. He said nothing throughout the battle and helped them defeat the Anglar forces. Once again, he disappeared without anyone's notice.

Star Fox Comic
NonCanon
While he is arguably dead in the canon, the 1993 Nintendo Power Comic portrays James as having, in some way, been sucked into a black hole during his fateful mission against Andross. Fox McCloud later dives into a black hole and is lead through it by some sort of physical manifestation of his father.
