- "A greedy miser who thinks of nothing save his own gain. His life has been one double cross after another."
- — Star Fox: Assault instruction booklet, page 38
Pigma Dengar was an original member of the original Star Fox team. He first appeared in Star Fox 64, where prior to the game's events, Pigmar betrayed James McCloud and Peppy Hare during a mission on Venom. He became a member of Star Wolf due to his interest in money, although prior to the events of Star Fox: Assault, Wolf O'Donnell expelled him because of Pigma's greedy and untrustworthy nature. Pigma Dengar appears as a final boss in Star Fox Command, albeit with his form warped.

Appearance and personality
Pigma is shown in most games to be a short, fat, and obnoxious pig with sadistic tendencies, as he gleefully accepted any chance to kill his former teammate Peppy without remorse. In Star Fox: Assault, he is shown to have gained a considerable amount of weight and was shown to have three claw marks on his forehead, these can be assumed to be Wolf O'Donnell's, most likely when he was banished from Star Wolf.
Spoiler warning: The following contains key plot or ending details.
Pigma was originally a member of the original Star Fox team. Obsessed with greed, he accepted a job from Andross to betray his team. He did just that and, while Peppy escaped, James was killed. He later joined up with Wolf O'Donnell's team, Star Wolf.
Star Fox 64
Pigma first appeared with the other members of Star Wolf on Fichina. At the time, the Star Fox team was busy with a bomb about to blow up a base. Star Wolf's mission was to distract Star Fox so the base would blow. Pigma chased Peppy throughout the battle due to the history between the two. Pigma and Star Wolf appeared again as the final line of defense before Venom if Fox's team went to Bolse Defense Satellite.
If Fox's team went through Area 6, Pigma and the rest of of Star Wolf were the last line of defense for Andross's lair itself instead. Pigma now flew a Wolfen II, which had far superior targeting and maneuvering systems. But like the dogfight on Fichina, Pigma was defeated by Fox and his team.
Pigma also remains a part of Star Wolf throughout the story of Star Fox Zero.
Star Fox: Assault
Nine years later, the Star Fox team responded to a distress call on Katina during the Aparoid invasion. When the Aparoids were cleared, the distress signal ended and Pigma emerged from the base. He stole the Core Memory that Fox was attempting to retrieve and flew off with it. Later on Fichina, Pigma was revealed to be the one behind the climate control center being shut down. He activated the climate control device once Fox brought it back up and had it infected by and Aparoid. He used it as a distraction to escape. As he traveled to the asteroid belt, he began to show the first signs of Aparoid infection. When the Star Fox team next found him, his ship was floating pilotless and he was out in the vaccuum of space next to a huge weapon. His lower half had been fused into the center of the weapon and was then completely absorbed into the machine. With this fusion, Pigma's mind was assimilated into the weapon's AI and was soon destroyed by the Star Fox team.

Star Fox Command
Even though Pigma was dead, the remains of the machine containing leftovers of Pigma's mind wandered the Lylat System. After over two years of wandering, Pigma had gathered together a small force of stray space creatures.
He eventually ran into Falco Lombardi and sent his forces out at him. Falco managed to defeat Pigma's forces with the help of Katt Monroe. Falco then destroyed the remains of the Pigma robot, erasing the universe of the last of Pigma.
The Curse of Pigma
This story occurs if Wolf betrays Fox and Falco on Titania and ROB follows them.
During the Anglar attacks, Star Wolf ran into their ex-member, Pigma. They made a deal that, if Pigma covered them on their way to Venom, they would lead Fox McCloud into a trap and Pigma could have him. That was exactly what Wolf did when he betrayed Fox and Falco on Titania. Wolf fled while Pigma fought Fox. Fox managed to destroy what was left of Pigma in the Lylat System.

PAL: Pigma is many things. He's a traitor who betrayed Star Fox, then convinced Wolf to form his own mercenary team, Star Wolf. He's greedy and cowardly, and it's this characteristic greed that later made Wolf angry enough to kick him out of the team. But he's also got some good points! Er, somewhere...maybe...
N64 Star Fox 64 (7/1997)
GCN Star Fox: Assault (2/2005)
In his Star Fox 64, Star Fox: Assault, Star Fox 64 3D, and Star Fox Zero appearances, Pigma Dengar has only one attack: trailing behind someone and shooting them. This can be easily avoided by somersaulting over his ship. His appearances in Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Command give him new battle patterns to suit his new forms. In Star Fox: Assault, he attacks more like the Gorgon does, attempting to claw and slash at the Arwing with his six arms during his first phase, then firing missiles and a titanic laser in his second phase. In his Star Fox Command appearance, Pigma fires lasers and may even fire a projection of his face.
