Nominations

  • RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 02:57, 3 February 2013 (UTC) (you *can* nominate yourself, right? if not, I'll append a strikethrough to my name... if i *can* nominate myself... excellent!)
  • 2Tie (talk) 03:24, 3 February 2013 (UTC) (I feel I'm up to the task)
  • Airconny (Talk|Contribs) 03:24, 3 February 2013 (UTC) (I also nominate Airconny, I feel he would do well in the role as well)

Comments

  1. I support Airconny here, he's been especially helpful and active, essentially bringing life to a dead wiki. He could do a great job of editor-in-chief. Not only that, but while Ringtailed-Fox and 2Tie would simply be getting a new title, Airconny would presumably be gaining well-deserved, possibly overdue administrator tools. 2. I guess i agree with ToastUltimatum... I just ran so it would be democratic... if it was just one user running unopposed, it would just be an appointment. :P RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 03:53, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
  3. This is a difficult one to say who would be the best choice, in my opinion, as each nominee have contributed greatly to the wiki as it stands now, in their own way. I do have questions on what each nominee would do in the position. [Tacopill|(talk)] 02:14, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Suggested outcome

Alright, since we don't have much a community, I am going with consensus here rather than popular vote; so, here is my recommendation:

  • RingtailFox, your technical expertise and willingness to help on the server side, suggests to me for you to be System Admin instead, but also sit on the writing staff. While I am sure you would be good at EiC, I think others maybe more suited for it.
  • 2Tie, your linguistics skills would defiantly help, however, unsure that your semi-activeness would help in this regard. So, I am thinking having you as a co-EiC or Vice EiC, directing your own project, but also helping with improving the grammar on the articles, etc. You would be one-side of a coin.
  • Airconny, in my opinion, would also work well. The other side of the aforementioned coin, he is currently training under me to better understand everything the wiki has to offer, how it works on the server side and such. As Toast has mentioned, he is overdue for an admin-ship, but I have been keeping him there so he can focus on training. The thing is.. he is currently handling this thing called Real Life, but intends on being back, when that is done. Objectively, I see him being good at a Jack-of-All-Trades type of things.

Now, even though only one can be EiC, the responsibilities of the position can be divided up among, or shared with, all three.

Does this sound reasonable to everyone? feel free to ask any questions, speak concerns, etc. [Tacopill|(talk)] 03:23, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
