| Titania is noted for its harsh deserts. Its uncompromising, blasted environment is continually visited by sandstorms, and the only indigenous life is the monstrous [[Goras]], one of which serve as the level's boss in [[Star Fox 64]]. The landscape is dotted with the skeletal remains of creatures so massive that a [[Landmaster]] can easily pass through their ribcages.

| Titania appears to be based on [[Wikipedia: Mars|Mars]], whose similarly red, lifeless surface has captured the imagination of humans for millennia. It has been theorized that Mars was once very much like Earth, a theory that is supported by the presence of canyons and ancient seabeds that lie scattered across the surface of the planet. This sentiment carries over to Titania. While the following is very much speculative, it is easily imagined that Titania was once a fertile planet that fell victim to some unknown cataclysm and was rendered lifeless, except for the great Goras.
