As the series continues, perhaps more information will be given on his character. However, since he appeared in the ending where the former Star Fox Team disbanded, he will probably be the main protaganist in the next game, with Fox and the others (excluding Falco, since he's a member of the new Star Fox Team) making small appearances.
As the series continues, perhaps more information will be given on his character. It is currently unknown if he will appear in a future game but it is unlikely as Fox and Krystals relationship is still very vague and we will probably not see them have a child together in any game for quite a while.

Marcus only appeared in one of the 10 possible endings of Star Fox: Command and that ending is unlikely to ever be considered cannon as it would mean abandoning the current, well established, Star Fox team in all future games.

Marcus McCloud is the son of Fox McCloud and his wife Krystal. He appears in only one of the endings of Star Fox Command in which he is seen being raised by his parents and then going on to forming a new Star Fox Team (of which two of its members, though their relations are known, their names are not) consisting of Slippy's son, Lucy's daughter, and the aged Falco Lombardi from the previous team.

It is unknown, at this point, what kind of man he is and how much he takes after his father, but at least a strong sense of leadership is displayed in the screen his adult self is shown.

He is seen in the ending: "Goodbye, Fox".
