Baccoon is one of Andross's bioweapons in the form of a giant clam, and boss of Aquas in Star Fox 64. Once stationed on Aquas, it began polluting the ocean world. The Star Fox Team was sent to investigate this activity. It's implied that Baccoon is the reason as to why Aquas was now a 100% ocean and why the islands/ancient civilization sunk below the waves.
Attack
The Baccoon attacks by barraging it's foe with pearl bombs and artificial segmented pearl creatures. It has three barnacle mortars that allow it's incredible line of attack.
Weakness
When Baccoon first appears, it will reveal its tendons. These tendons must be disconnected by torpedoes. Before the tendons are destroyed, the player may also destroy the barnacle mortars on Baccoon's shell. Once the tendons are destroyed, Baccoon's top shell will collapse, revealing its eye. The eye must be destroyed by torpedoes and is often shielded by a flap of some sort.
It is widely believed that when it is defeated, the pollution throughout Aquas goes away.
